They did! In the video is mentioned a lane for express bus service, and the advantages of that. It's around 2:30 or 2:40 in the video. "Bus Rapid Transit System". We have this in some places in the US, I used to see it in Miami. It's much cheaper to implement, it's flexible, doesn't use its own type of infrastructure.... This looks like a good plan! It looks like they're building it with some extra capacity so it won't immediately turn into a giant traffic-jam...

Listening to the CS of Transport talking about foreign investors coming to Nairobi makes me wonder why a majority of wealth acquisition activities are concentrated in here while the country has 584,000km2. That is the single most reason that makes it hard to disentangle the city of both the high population and in turn traffic.

a country is a s good as it's capital, if the capital is good then they will set up shop and then move to the other areas as they expand. But if the capital is chaotic and a concrete slum then they won't even bother! Perfect example is Kigali, very organized and clean but if you've travelled outside Kigali to other towns you'll see nothing much but investors keep flocking to Rwanda just because of Kigali

how did you become an expert on their ethnicity? is that not tribalism itself if you can only judge others by their names? kenya corruption is driven by all tribes, if that is a positive thing to you.
@rang3688
@rang3688 3 жыл бұрын
@@romenhome5138 that is simple, I am a Kenyan, and 3/4 of our names follow a cultural or ethnicity pattern, which you can easily recognize. Does knowing, understanding, and pointing out make me a tribalist? It depends on your perspective. My point here, in multiethnic, multiracial, and multi-religious/worldviews societies, we need diversity in inclusion, not only diversity of thoughts.

Kenya can do it. In 1988 China did not have any expressway and was poorer than every African country except two. Today China is world's no. 1 with 140,000km expressways. If China can do it Kenya can too! In China the saying is if you want wealth build the road first.

We lost 24 years of infrastructure development under Moi. Roads were being demolished instead of being built, remember the Kitale-Lodwar road. It had to be done from scratch.

Moi was the president we needed then. We have to be grateful, he steered the country, through Africa's most unpredictable period. He also did a lot to preserve wildlife, and keep debt low. The downside is, sometimes you need good debt to progress. He wasn't perfect, but who is really? Uhuru has driven the economy to it's knees, but he did a lot of infrastructure development, maybe we can say Kibaki did better than both. Juu it was under his reign that Kenya actually took off.

@@jomo2483 not true.90s was called Kenya's lost decade.we had a chance to jump into digital revolution but moi was concerned about self preservation..he scored zero on economics and the nation was practically bankrupt. He nonetheless preserved the nation integrity and respect of it's borders and did a bit on education areas.

@@jomo2483oooyah say something about your god chosen president 😂😂😂😂😂......useless Uhuru stands out he took kenya from 7 trillion to 13 trillion economy is that failure? Btw debts are not problems if the projects sre there so your definition of bringing the country to its knees is just hot air....we can see his projects and where he used thst money
