The boat is fabulous. Lots of consideration in her rigging appointments. Best of all is baby Vera's big strong Papa holding his little bundle of joy cradled in his arm. She has a beautiful loving Mama too. How lucky she is to have such great parents. She will be loved like no other.

Great boat and starting point for a few upgrades and she looks barely 5 years old - they made them better back then with massive lay-ups in the hull and superstructure, and those huge winches! The layout is superb and I think the size is nice and manageable particularly for lift outs. The cockpit tent is perfect - you can always roll up the sides if it's too hot. The advantage of effectively having an extra living space whilst at anchor in invaluable. The one possible issue, the teak decks, has been sorted and they are fantastic. You must be very proud!

Najad is a very nice quality boat! A couple of tips: When you get that new spinnaker boom, get a carbon fiber one. Your rig is only half a meter taller than mine and the aluminium boom I have is so heavy, I seldom use it because of that reason. The only thing I would immediately change is that heater air vent in the cocpit. Now if you get a breaking wave in to the cocpit, it functions as a drain in to the boat and your heater. I would replase it with a proper hatch. (If you are masochistic enough, check my cocpit speaker video for one idea.)

My wife has started watching these the last week or two now, I play them for her at dinner time, although she doesn’t really care for the Other 10 sailing channels I watch 🤔🤭 IT Must have to do with her being born in Germany after WWII, her Mother was taken from Poland 🇵🇱 and put on a Train going and stopping all the way down through Germany, by 4 am someone owning a small hotel by the Austrian Alps wanted her for a Maid, that’s where she spent the war... long story but I think you (Malin) remind my wife of her Mother way back when...!! 😎👍✅

Like RAN II a lot. Many very practical features. If you do a targa for the solar panels try to get them at the same height as the top of the Bimini, which should alleviate your concern about the lines of the boat. Maybe even incorporate dingy davits into the targa as well so you keep the foredeck clear. You are clearly both (sorry, three) so happy to be on board, it is really infectious.
