Ideal explanation should start from balancing the equation of H2SO4 reacting with NAOH. For every one molecule of H2SO4 we need two molecules of NAOH. So 1/2 mole weight of H2SO4 is enough to completely react with one mole weight of NAOH. From here starts the purpose of finding equivalent weight. But in this video it was told time and again that out of 98 grams only 49 grams has potential to react which is a total wrong direction. My son got confused and misunderstood the concept and after that I had to verify all the textbooks and explain him this way.

This is very simple gram equivalent means the amount of substance that can accept or donate a mole of electrons therefore the normality can be defined as the number of moles of electrons that can be donated or accepted in a one litre solution. Like if this helps.

Molar mass should be the mass of 1 mole of h2so4 and that's why it is in g otherwise it would be 98 amu(atomic mass unit) if it is taken as molecule.

Let me give you a Question, The molar mass of NaH? But in point of you the calculation is Na + H = 23 + 1 = 24 EQ.Mass = Molar Mass by x Ans.= 24 But it's wrong.. molar mass of NaH is 23 😕
