About the quantum of light 1- In the 19th century, much attention was paid to the study of the thermal properties of various objects. The idealized model that was considered was the Black Body. (Max von Laue called the black body the “Kirchhoff vacuum.” It was also called the “ultraviolet catastrophe”; the first signs of the “vacuum catastrophe”) 2- In 1900, Max Planck solved the “black body” problem by discovering the “quantum of action of light - h”. Particle (h) is not a hot particle emitted by stars. Particle (h) came from the vacuum, from the cosmic vacuum. 3- Einstein's second postulate states: In a vacuum, light propagates at a constant speed (c), which does not depend on the speed and radiation of the source or observer. 4. According to SRT, a quantum of light is not a solid particle. 5- According to quantum physics, a quantum of light has its own internal “spin” (linear or angular). 6- Light is an independent and free quantum particle. Its movement does not depend on the speed of the source or the observer. The actions of light do not depend on the opinions of physicists. # "All these fifty years of conscious brooding have brought me no nearer to the answer to the question "What are light quanta?". Nowadays every Tom, Dick, and Harry thinks he knows it, but he is mistaken." /Albert Einstein/

Excellent video but there are a couple of key points that most do not emphasize. The first is that though the amount of energy at the high and low end is lower, a black body still emits a continuous spectrum of frequencies. This is because a black body is generated ONLY BY CONDENSED MATTER. Condensed matter solid/liquid is the only substance offering enough degrees of freedom to generate a continuous spectrum. Individual atoms, molecules, or plasma will radiate in only the discrete wavelengths allotted by the limited degrees of freedom, i.e. rotation, vibration, electron energy jumps or spin changes. This is why the Sun is a liquid -- not a plasma. The Sun generates a true black body spectrum. 😎

at 7:17 how we can say no. of photons is proportional to higher energy?
@hamzahkhan7895
@hamzahkhan7895 Жыл бұрын
The intensity of frequency decides the emitted photons. So if energy is more, intensity of frequency will be more , therefore greater number of photons. And the formula E = nhV also says the same. (n = No. Of photons, h = plank's constant and V = Frequency)
@aman8993
@aman8993 7 күн бұрын
But intensity (No. of emitted photons/Second.) has nothing to do with energy. So, we can't ❌ say 👉 as the number of photons increases, energy also increases. This goes against the laws of photoelectric effect. But if frequency increases,(As E = hv) then energy also increases. So energy depends on frequency,not on intensity.@@hamzahkhan7895

Sir can you explain why there is sudden increase in the wavelength after a certain point and here the intensity also decreases which show its direct relation with wavelength but it's not as we know Energy and wavelength are inverse in relation?

Sir plz ans me I have Question? If temperature are same, then why different(Mixture) of radiation occurs. For e.g; At 1300K Infrared, Red and ultra violet radiation produced. But we have Idea from plan's pastulte that; A black body can emit OR absorb 1 Qunta OR Integral multiple of this Quantum. Then why in the above case Radition emitted by black body Not Integral? Plz ans. Me! I will be waiting....
@TheShadowgaming01
@TheShadowgaming01 Жыл бұрын
At 900 Kelvin, the peak of the black body radiation spectrum falls in the red or near-infrared region. However, there is still a range of lower-energy (infrared) and higher-energy (ultraviolet) photons being emitted, albeit with lower intensity compared to the peak wavelength. This is why a black body at 900 Kelvin appears red but can also emit some infrared and potentially even a tiny amount of ultraviolet light. The overall distribution of energies follows Planck's law, with the peak being at red wavelengths for that particular temperature. Same for 1300k
