This is such a gem of a video for someone starting with the Najdorf. Absolutely glad to come across this channel, great content.

Why haven't I found this sooner? No, this channel sooner. I would've subscribed and been set on my theory for most openings because of my understanding, allowing me to not just memorise moves.

Appreciate this video as someone who’s learning the Najdorf, I would also appreciate if you make a masterclass on the Ruy Lopez or Grünfeld!
@SamAsakaChess Жыл бұрын
Those are definitely in the pipeline.

This video is useful for all sicilian players, not just the najdorf! the sicilian is one of the best openings for improving your overall quality as a chess player. unfortunately so many people continue to play anti-sicilians, but they also lead to good games.

This is a very nice summary of key ideas in the Najdorf variation of the Sicilian Defence. Sam's videos are excellent!

This video is just simply amazing. All the questions I get during the games because of the lack of experience are answered. Now I don't have to come up with thinks like how to deal with f4. Thanks!

Is the Najdorf part of your typical repertoire or have you simply learned many things about various openings as time went on?
@SamAsakaChess Жыл бұрын
I don't really play the Najdorf anymore, but I've had a couple phases where I played it when I was younger.

@@SamAsakaChess What do you play now though?
@eugeniomoccia3917 Жыл бұрын
First of all, compliments for the thoroughness despite the complexity of this theory. I've reached listening to tip number 2. If I understood correctly, with 6. Bc4 or 6. Bg5, it's preferable to play 6. ... e6, in the other cases, 6. ... e5. Is that correct? In which book did you read or study this analysis?
@SamAsakaChess Жыл бұрын
That is correct. I cannot recall reading this from any one particular source - but it is pretty established theory that ...e5 is not good after 6.Bg5 and 6.Bc4.
