Could you please bring some Grunfeld Defence masterclass Series ?? Perfect time for me , it's 10:15 AM here .....BTW Found your SPEEDRUN very helpful.... :) Thanks for so many likes
@huckthatdish3 жыл бұрын
Grundeld is an objectively great opening, but it’s impossible to learn all the lines in one video. The lines are too tactical. You can’t just work the same ideas in many lines. You need to memorize a ton to play the grunfeld well at a high level. Some openings knowing the ideas gets you through most lines. Grunfeld isn’t one of them
@piouswhale3 жыл бұрын
His second most recent video covers the Grunfeld (although its short due to opponent blunders). He recommends not learning it until you are at least 2000 rating due to the sheer number of lines and theory you must know.
@ryndp53853 жыл бұрын
I admit that Grunfeld is highly a theoritical opening , that's why I am requesting a Grunfeld Masterclass Series ... As Once you learn it , believe me , you'll be more or less undefeatable... I think the pros overpower the cons of the opening .. at last , you're gonna learn this opening sooner or later , then why not learn it now?? !!! c'mon guys

11:12 seems like this is the best line to me because then you have bc5 attacking the queen, knight cant block because queen cant protect without giving up mate, queen has to go Qd3 only move as far as i can see, then u just trade queens, win another pawn while threatening ANOTHER pawn and the dude still cant castle. What am I missing here?

In the position at 23:16, where he ended, can someone explain to me how black would proceed after rh8? My guess is that black would capture the b pawn and push the connected passers, but black's g pawn would also fall and white would have strong pawns as well. Black's pawns would be connected but white's king is much more active. Is that such a clear win?
@Marth55553 жыл бұрын
Wow that is a great point I wish there was a way to go back and ask him lol
@Tikorous3 жыл бұрын
Computer looks like it has the strat of using the rook to gobble the b pawn then push those passers baby. There's the obvious jumping around parrying threats and tactics for a few moves so it's not immediate but that's the general idea. Also stockfish has -3.4 after Rh8 so it's a very clear win
@Noname-673 жыл бұрын
Black would capture the g pawn and protect his own g pawn, then push the king side pawns, if white focus on defense the queen side then black attack the king side and vice versa. White rook can't restrain the king and both sides at the same time so eventually black will promote or get the king out and still promote
@JB_inks3 жыл бұрын
How do you know that Stockfish has played a good move? It checks with Daniel first.

I wonder if some of these 1600ish players just started their account there and that's why they are playing much worse than the 1300s. I mean this guy's opening was so passive and slow. Blundering everything. We didn't see that at the lower levels.
