Price: The facelifted Hector could be priced from Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards.
Seating Capacity: It will have the capacity to seat five passengers.
Engine and Transmission: The new Hector is expected to get the same engines as the current one: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (making 143PS and 250Nm) and a 2-litre diesel (170PS and 350Nm). Both engines will likely be mated to a six-speed manual as standard, while an optional eight-speed CVT could be offered with the petrol mill.
Features: Its list of features will include a 14-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a seven-inch digital driver's display and multi-color ambient lighting. This list could also include ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof and powered driver's seat.
Safety: Passenger safety will be ensured by advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), electronic stability control (ESC) and multiple airbags.
Rivals: It will continue to go up against the Tata Harrier, Jeep Compass, and Mahindra SUVs: the XUV700 and Scorpio N.

ഞാൻ ഗൾഫിൽ ആണ് വർക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്നത്. നാട്ടിൽ ഹെക്ടർ പ്ലസ് എടുക്കാൻ ഉള്ള പ്ലാൻ ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ഇവിടുത്തെ MG വാഹനങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥ കണ്ടിട്ട് നാട്ടിൽ ഇത് എടുത്താൽ തലയിൽ ഇരിക്കുമോ എന്നൊരു പേടി ഇല്ലാതില്ല. ഗൾഫിൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ ഒട്ടുമിക്ക MG വാഹനങ്ങളും പരാജയം ആണ് എന്നാണ് അറിയുന്നത്. മെയിൻ ആയി ഗിയർ ബോക്സിനാണ് പണി കിട്ടുന്നത് എന്നാണ് അറിയുന്നത്. ഫോക്സ് വാഗൻ ഗിയർ ബോക്സ് കോപ്പി അടിച്ചതാണ് എന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നത് പക്ഷെ അതിന്റെ യാതൊരു ക്വാളിറ്റിയും ഇല്ല എന്നാണ് പറയപ്പെടുന്നത്. എന്നാണ് നാട്ടിൽ 2019 ൽ ഇറങ്ങിയ 1 ലക്ഷം കിലോമീറ്റർ ഒടിയ MG കാറുകളുടെ അവസ്ഥ? ഒരു ഡീറ്റൈൽഡ് യൂസർ റിവ്യൂ പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്താൽ നന്നായിരുന്നു.

എനിക്ക് വളരെ ഇഷ്ടപെട്ട ഒരു വണ്ടി ആണിത്. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ വാഹന വിപണിയിൽ വളരെ വലിയ വിപ്ലവം സൃഷിടിച്ച ഒരു വണ്ടി കൂടി ആണിത്. അത് പോലെ തന്നെ ഒരുപാട് ഓട്ടോ വ്ലോഗർമാർക്ക് നല്ല ഒരു മാർക്കറ്റ് കൂടെ ഉണ്ടാക്കി കൊടുക്കാനും സാധിച്ച ഒരു കാർ ആണിത്. അത് പോലെ പ്രാധാന്യം ഉള്ള ഒന്നാണ് സെഡാനുകൾ എന്ന ഒരു കൺസെപ്റ്റിൽ നിന്നും സാധാരക്കാർക്ക് വരെ അഫോർഡ് ചെയ്യാവുന്ന വിലയിൽ നിലവാരം ഉള്ള SUV എന്ന ഒരു കോൺസെപ്റ്റിലേക്ക് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ സാധാരണക്കാരെകൊണ്ട് പോലും വാങ്ങാൻ കഴിയും എന്ന അവസ്ഥാവിശേഷം ഉണ്ടാക്കി എടുക്കാനും ഇതിനു സാധിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ ഇതേ എൻജിൻ വച്ചു ഇറങ്ങുന്ന ഇതിൻ്റെ പ്രധാന എതിരാളികൾ ആയ ടാറ്റ, മാഹിന്ദ്ര, ജീപ്പ് പോലെയുള്ള കമ്പനികൾ ആദ്യം മുതൽ തന്നെ ഡീസൽ വണ്ടികളിൽ ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ട്രാൻസ്മിഷൻ വച്ച് ഇറക്കിയപ്പോളും ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ലോഞ്ച് ചെയ്തു നാല് വർഷം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും ഹെക്ടറിനോ ഹെക്ടർ പ്ലസിനോ ഡീസൽ വേരിയണ്ടിൽ ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് ട്രാൻസ്മിഷൻ ഓപ്‌ഷനുകൾ ഇല്ല എന്നത് ഒരു വലിയ പോരായ്മ തന്നെ ആണ്. ഞാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം എംജി യുടെ വെബ്‌സൈറ്റിൽ ഉള്ള [e-mail] എന്ന ഈമെയിലിൽ ഇതിനെ പറ്റി ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നു. അവർ റിപ്ലെ തന്നു എങ്കിലും ഇതിനെ പറ്റി യാതൊന്നും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. എന്നെ പോലെ ഒരുപാടു പേര് ഇതിൻ്റെ ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് പതിപ്പിന് വേണ്ടി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നവർ ഉണ്ട്. അത് പോലെ ഇന്ന് ഫീച്ചേഴ്സ് എന്ന് പറയുന്ന സെഗ്മെണ്ടിൽ വളരെ വലിയ മത്സരം തന്നെ കാർ നിര്മാതാക്കൾക്കിടയിൽ നടക്കുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ ആവശ്യമുള്ള അല്ലെങ്കിൽ താല്പര്യമുള്ള ചില ഫീച്ചേഴ്സിന് വേണ്ടി അനാവശ്യമായ ഒരുപാട് ഫീച്ചേഴ്സിന് വേണ്ടി പൈസ ചെലവാക്കേണ്ടി വരികയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. അതിനു പകരം കസ്റ്റമൈസ് ചെയ്യാനുള്ള ഒരു ഓപ്‌ഷൻ കൂടെ വാഹന നിർമാതാക്കൾ ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾക്ക് കൊടുത്താൽ അത് കോസ്റ്റ് കട്ടിങ്ങിനു വളരെ സഹായിക്കും.

@@shivashankar6451 താങ്കൾക്ക് ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞത് അങ്ങോട്ട് മനസിലായില്ല എന്ന് തോനുന്നു. DCT വേണം എന്ന് ഞാൻ എവിടെയും പറഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല. CVT ആയാലും മതി നല്ല ഗിയർബോക്സ് ആണ്. ഹര്യറിലും മറ്റും വരുന്ന TC യും നമ്മുടെ റോഡിൽ വല്യ കുഴപ്പമൊന്നുമില്ലതെ ഓടുന്നുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ഇന്നും ഹെക്ടറിൽ മാത്രം ഇതിനാൽ ഒന്നും വച്ച് ഒരു ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് വണ്ടി ഇറങ്ങിയിട്ടില്ല.
