What are your thoughts on the NAK9x....I've had my eye on it but I like your modifications too! :)

sfk1066: The NAK9X is pretty dope. At the time, I was in the market for a AK 9mm pistol. I felt that the firearm was a bit overpriced. That seems to have changed here recently. Knowing what I know now & having a chance to do it all over again, I think I'd still go the route I did ONLY b/c I'd be able to customize the NAK9 to my exact taste. If I could deal w/ just the black furniture, then no harm no foul. They still don't offer the NAK9 in the plum color. I would in effect have to settle for black or magpul gray. Rarely, do you see the plum,fde,or od green versions. If so, waaaaay overpriced! So, for that reason I would still choose to buy the factory offering & "spruce-up" the furniture in my own time. However, what I like is not for everyone. I really think having the ability to make a firearm your own is part of the gun culture's true nature! Black on black has it's place for sure. But, adding subtle flashes of color here & there really sets your piece apart from the masses! My next one will probably be a NAK9X, tho!😉 Thanks for watching & talking shop w/ me! Absolutely! It's the best way to go if you're on a budget like me! I used several different websites until I had exactly what I wanted. I think a sig romeo or vortex would be perfect for this one! Happy shooting my friend!!!

John Brown: Thanks for watching! And, congrats on the new purchase! I think the PA Micro Red Dot is an excellent choice & super cost effective for this platform. Their optics are quality for sure. Krebs safety just feels right on AKs. Like new sights on glocks! Don't forget to buy the Krebs pin hook, too! Hope this helps my friend. Happy shooting!

John Brown: Im super excited for you! The Krebs safety is normal on mine. Although, one time when I engaged it, it traveled past the dustcover(really weird). Only happened once though. Since then, no problems. I guess the safety scratch bore a consistent channel for it to travel! Lol😆. 'Tis the life of an AK owner my friend. Congrats,again...great piece. Happy shooting!

@Celina Houser: I do absolutely think it's worth the purchase because this firearm has continued to go up in price. Now, depending on how you plan to use or upgrade the NAK9 is going to weigh heavily on your decision if cost is a major factor. No problems with reliability if using glock oem mags. garym51124: Im glad you were able to get your AK pistol! Glock & ETS stick mags are super tight in my NAK9. The KCI didn't work at all & I do remember excess play. But, if you're getting lots of movement I would remove the magazine well, inspect it & re-attach. Its super simple to do. (check manual...depress & hold push pin, etc.) Hope this helps my friend & maybe post a vid when you can? Happy shooting!

@Ivan Vail: Thanks for watching and for your question. This optic is the UTG 6.4 ITA red/green CQB Sight. I purchased this optic back in 2013 & still functions great! It was collecting dust on my accessories shelf when the OTW red dot failed after less than 10 rds. I've since replaced the UTG w/ AT3 Tactical RD-50 Micro Red Dot. It's an absolutely perfect sighting system for this AK Pistol my friend. Happy shooting!

This AK pistol is super reliable. My range ammo is whatever is on sale at the time. So far, no jams or stoppages with any ball ammo thru glock mags and/or ets mags. She'll run for sure! Plus, it'll run my defense ammo, too! I use hornady 124gr hollow points.

I'm surprised you had issues with the stock kci mag. Mine has worked perfectly. I'd really like to add a Krebs safety to mine, but I can't bring myself to pay that much for it.

Jonathan, Im really glad that the KCI mag runs well in your Draco. I think that's great! I had so many issues with mine. (mag spring collapsing, nose-diving of the rounds, FTF, etc.) The Krebs is definitely a "feel good" add-on & not necessary. But, consistency across similar platforms has always been my preference. I love this AK PISTOL! Happy shooting my friend!

How did you get that magpul moe handguard to work?

Eric Bailey: Thanks for watching! If you're having trouble installing the Magpul handguard, its probably the front of the detachable magwell holding up progress. Detach magwell & reattach after comfirming that it is seated properly. If the handguard still won't fit, take a dremel or sanding block a shave apprx 1/8" off each rear side of the handguard. Clean off dust & should slip right into place. Remember, the two halves of the handguard should snap into each other and be a flush fit. If its off, just re-adjust or trim as needed. Please be sure to take your time...sand a little...re-fit...sand a little...re-fit etc. Hope this helps, my friend! Happy shooting!!!
