I truly believe, as someone who is not a fan of either team or of Scottish football at all, but who has watched this full match, that this is one of the most exciting games of football that has ever been played. It truly has everything, A wonder goal, a bitter rivalry with the stakes so high depending on the result of the match, a red card for a handball on the line, a saved penalty, a last minute goal where everyone goes mental. I come back to this again and again and I think I always will. I am now, 15 years on when everyone in the match has retired and the result basically doesn’t matter or have any impact on the modern standings of these two teams. Idk man just really good

I was there, what a night! A legendary game and atmosphere. My first 7 times attending these games I never seen Celtic win, seen plenty since though. This was an essential win that eventually brought an unlikely league title to Celtic Park following a late run of wins in the league. The league that was won in honour of Tommy Burns who passed away around that time (modern day Celtic legend).

Thanks to Rangers Celtic always had a team to fight, compete with and improve. If you realized, as soon as they went to the League 2 Celtic have become much weaker.. 10 years ago nobody could best us at Celtic Park.. But now we lose against average clubs and Celtic is not that Celtic anymore.. That's why I prefer Rangers on top. Cause if there is no strong team, we can be stronger..

This is my favourite Glasgow derby. A lot of Celtic fans will probably prefer the 6-2 game under O'Neill or the various big wins under Rodgers but this game had everything for me. A screamer from Naka, Scott McDonald making up for his missed pen and the euphoric finish with Vennegoor of Hesselink. Also a midweek night game which adds to the atmosphere.
