Naked Eyes is one of my favorite synthpop groups from the 80's! I saw them live during the reunion tours and Pete had released a solo album they were great! They only made 2 albums but they are full of great tunes! "Always Something there to remind me" is their biggest hit, "Promises Promises" is there 2nd hit and my personal favorite 3rd hit, "When the lights go out", is pure synthpop perfection!

I saw them on tour a few years ago with “Lost 80’s Live”. Every year they bring old 80’s bands together and they each play two or three songs. A Flock of Seagulls is always the headliner. Naked Eyes played this song and it sounded really good. It was so surreal seeing them play it. I was 19 years old when it came out. Takes me right back to dorm days in college.

This is my first time hearing the full album version and I dig it. I agree with other posters that the single edit, which I usually despise, is the best version. You may appreciate the radio edit more-- it's a bit more punchy, less funky. I enjoy both, but I prefer the radio edit for daily listening. It's perfection. This is the "album version" of the song. The "single version" is EVEN BETTER and what we heard on the radio in the 80s, It has a better intro that launches right into the song, a slightly faster pace, and much less echo on "Promises, Promises" chorus.
