I've always loved this song. This is from an era of the 80s when new wave was the mainstream but was still creative and had an amazing sound. Lots of great music came out of that era.

This duo were really underrated. They made fine pop music. Before Naked Eyes, they were in a band called Neon with Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, who formed Tears For Fears. Naked Eyes never reached the heights of their former band mates but their brief catalogue evokes the period beautifully. This song is a guilty pleasure to play on the bass, up there with Kajagoogoo's "Too Shy" Depending on what sound you were focusing on, the sound you liked was either the descending hammer-on plucks of the Bass, or a synth layer counter to the bass Check out their songs "When the lights go out", "No flowers please", "Voices in my head" l, the light pop "Answering Service", or their cover of Burt Bacharach's "Always something there to remind me"

The lead single from this album, “Always Something There To Remind Me”, was by far their biggest hit. It was a cover of a song that had been recorded by numerous artists in the 60’s.

If you like Naked Eyes then you should react to Naked Eyes' Always Something There To Remind Me and their 3rd single What/In The Name Of Love.

Nice tune and nice reaction. This song was rather, 'huge', when it was first released...both on radio waves and at the dance clubs. BTW...naked eyes = uncovered eyes, eyes that see true reality that is not filtered through biased lenses.
