No need to cry about Nalanda or Takahashi, in India still we have many hidden manuscripts roting away still not deciphered or preserved 40,000 of such manuscripts at Bhubaneswar's State Museum,palm-leaf manuscripts stacked in the museum. Most of them are written in the Oriya script, though the language is Sanskrit text was copied from one leaf to another. The oldest manuscript here belongs to the 14th century but the text can be dated to the 2nd century. Many more in Rishikesh's(devpaayag) Varanavasi's haridwar's temples & National archive of India. We need cutting edge tech like high-resolution X-ray detector that creates 3d map separating inc from material its used on, called HEXITEC Smithsonian museums are using. & can digitally archive our past.

Whenever I think about Nalanda my heart tears apart, i was pretty hesitant to even click on this video, and all the people who are like Bharat will return to its glory, you all know it can't. all these years of knowledge about architecture, science, music and so much more are long gone. You forgot to mention the work of Xuenzang, the famous Chinese monk who travelled to Nalanda in the 8th century and spent years collecting texts, manuscripts and teachings from the Nalanda teachers. He then took truckloads of manuscripts and books back to China and translated them to Chinese. He even wrote a journal that describes how Nalanda was at that time, it's available to read in English if you're interested. Moreover, the Tibetans spent 4 centuries (from 8th to 12th) coming and going to Nalanda, taking the manuscripts with them and translating them to Tibetan. They are still available to this day. So these texts are not lost, you just have to translate them back.

I think many people in the comments clearly showcase the problem due to which the Nalanda University ultimately got destroyed. Selfishness and ego of separate religious sects. Buddhism and Hinduism were not so distinct in their practical day-to-day beliefs (though their textual philosophies may have differences). Buddhists offered flowers and did meditation just like Hindus in their daily lives and largely ate similar kind of food and chanted hymns in similar fashions. It was when the seed of 'wanting to separate from one another' came in their minds, that's when all problem happened. Gautama Buddha rejected Vedic authority, NOT the Vedas themselves! He knew that society of India still needed some discipline. He adapted his own knowledge with significant influence from the knowledge prevailing in India at the time (which included the Vedas) in the local language of Bihar in that era - Pali. Yet, a lot of this knowledge was translated to Sanskrit (the language of the minority elite) and sent over to China as well because Sanskrit and Pali coexisted as sister languages. Buddhism and Hinduism hence, remained intertwined culturally even if they disagreed here and there. Stop trying to claim Nalanda as a single religion's university, it was not. It was a proper Dharmic university (Dharmic = Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Ajivikan, Charvakan). It belongs to EVERYONE, and as a Hindu and a staunch believer of many Theravada Buddhist beliefs, I stand by it till date. Enough is enough. We have much more in common and none of us is perfect, so let's try to come together on good terms and work on our respective communities to improve the living standards of everyone. Jaya Bharatham.

This is the reason Buddhism faded from India, but the world accepted it with open hands and hearts. Nalanda was closely associated with Buddhism, and there was no such thing as Hinduism during that era. Many eminent Buddhist scholars, such as Nagarjuna, Aryadeva, and Dharmapala, taught and studied at Nalanda, contributing to its development. Native Indians were followers of Shramanism, and later, they converted to Buddhism and Jainism. They never accepted Vedic religion; hence, when Vedic people came into power, native Indians became slaves and suffered a lot. It was the most renowned center of learning in the world. During the era of Buddhism's prominence, the university played a pivotal role in the development of Buddhist teachings, philosophy, culture, and other important subjects. Now, look at both religions, Buddhism and Jainism; they are on the verge of vanishing. It's sad to see a set of people overriding the truth of this holy land.

@Lost_inn_Time3 ай бұрын
It may be harsh to say but the Hindu philosophies are nearly lost . The oppressors were successful in destroying the core Hindu beliefs . The reason being , 99% of the Hindus today don’t even know what are the six darshanas obtained from the vedas . They don’t know anything about the Upanishads knowledge , Brahman knowledge etc . What is this ? This is just a result of the oppressors being successful in destroying the sanatan dharma . Nevertheless Buddhism is still keeping its core beliefs intact (except for the neo-Buddhists).
@Lost_inn_Time3 ай бұрын
Mahabharata may be existing today but the question is , who has read the whole scripture ? Destroying the dharma means destroying the minds of its followers and that has successfully happened among the Hindus . Hindus today are so illogical regarding their dharma that 99% would have watched the Mahabharata serial but the same wouldn’t have read the Mahabharata scripture . Ramayana may be existing but no one cares about the Ram Gita . Radha Krishna love stories may be existing but no one cares to read the whole bhagvad Gita . Deep philosophies are still existing but no one cares to understand them by leaving their superstitious andhbhakti behind .

❝ No doubt that the fall of Buddhism in India was due to the invasions of the Muhammadans; Islam came out as the enemy of the 'But'. The word 'But' as everybody knows, is the Arabic word and means idol. Thus, the origin of the word indicates that in the Muhammadan mind, idol worship had come to be identified with the Religion of Buddha; The mission to break the idols thus became the mission to destroy Buddhism. Well, our society doesn't deserve to even have a glance at these resources. Such is the situation of the minds of people nowadays. God had this planned as the world's destiny. Only people true to values like love, compassion, focus, determination, kindness and spirituality will get even a mild presence or image of such an ecosystem in their minds. Even if someone has, by any supernatural means visualized or attained enlightenment to such a place, he/she will never reveal it and leave the world peacefully at the time of his death. As modern humans, we don't deserve the profound spiritual knowledge our ancestors had. All the invasions that happened were part of destiny. By no means do I mean the invasions were beneficial or positive, but they were deemed to occur for the world to continue and experience the different aspects of time and human behavior. Even the most mentally pure humans out there in this world wouldn't come close to the sheer spiritual power these people had ingrained into them. As of now we can be the best we can as a human being and follow the path of righteousness.

There should be some excavation work in Nalanda University site. May be we still find some books hiding somewhere there by people studying there at that time!

We must be thankful of our most of our great grandfathers who survived all the Jizyas and tortures of the world but kept this pagan civilization alive.

Now people of Bihar face discrimination in other states, without even knowing them, people assume that people of Bihar are bad and are not treated the same. We have most important places for all religion. Guru Gobind Singh birth place for Sikhs, Lord Mahaveer Birth Place for Jains, Lord Buddha enlightenment place, For Hindus temples in Gaya ji and oldest functional hindu temple Mundeshwari temple and other places and birth place of greatest king Ashoka, For Muslims Tomb of Sher Shah Suri. Also birth place of Aryabhata in which whole India takes pride and relation to Mahabharat and Ramayana as well as this universities. But we face racism in our own country and Indian people complains about it in foreign which is bad but facing it in our own country is the worst. If this was not burned then Bihar and it's status would be different.

Biharis have also destroyed themselves.. by being petty and looters themselves.. eg lalu yadav and his family
@sandeepKumar-wd4mx Жыл бұрын
@@FilesdocumentsAndreposit-kr3vb It is true that we are also behind it but this types of case happens everywhere his case was just made more famous by media. There are many even bigger scams outside Bihar like in common wealth games and others. He did one amazing thing, he reduced caste issues in Bihar as earlier it was too much like lower caste people cannot even sit in front of upper caste person but in his tenure he reduced this disparity so even after the scam many like him specially from lower caste because of this. We do not even have international cricket matches the ban should have been lifted by now, lack of industry, business is too much and forces us to go out and face discrimination but things are getting better slowly as increase in no of engineering students, doctors, IAS .

Cost we paid of enhancing our wisdom but neglecting self defence. As a result all eras of accumulated knowledge and research studies are lost now
