Notwithstanding how great this channel is and the amount of effort it took to secure an hour with Zille, I do feel the interview was mostly biographical. In contrast with other interviews, I would have loved her in-depth perspective on GNU, the MK Party, the future of EFF given it's leadership changes and mostly her take on the Phala Phala scandal (though I admit that would have been BOLD). Commendable work Dr Sizwe.

There was such a high sense of superiority in this interview. Sizwe asked a lot of soft questions and didn't compare apples with apples especially when Helen Zille's attitude of "Get over Apartheid" permeated thruout the interview. He should have asked her if she condemned Apartheid and if she regarded it as a crime of humanity. Did she have access to land when she was a journalist? Did she recognise that Apartheid gave her white status and priveledge? How did she feel about the pass laws? What are her thoughts about segregation and the impact it has created on our society? How does she feel about the class divide and how it is skewed to favour white people? What needs to be done to adjust and correct the imbalances of the past? We can't just get over it without looking at the impact that Apartheid brought to our society. Exposure levels where very skewed to favour the minority, there was no human empathy towards this.

Those same ‘fat cats’ were at the coal face of apartheid regime’s brutality. Denied all the perks (fantastic housing, free education, great job opportunities etc) that your madam Zille benefited from. They were ‘guests’ at Robben Island, slept in fox holes fighting the regime & some escaped into exile. In any event yesterday’s liberator can be your oppressor tomorrow. Congratulations Hlubi. One of the gem of this session is when you got Ms Zille to star gaze and tell us about the clash of the two visions in South Africa - in 2026 local elections and 2029 national elections. One vision - of democratic centralism of MKP and the EFF. Another vision, of an open society by the DA. Ms Zille says where the needle of political power falls shall depend on where factional pieces of a fructuring ANC shall fall along the spectrum of the two ideological polar positions. Ms Zille says the ANC doesn't know where it stands between these two great warring ideological forces. These forces are locked in an epic battle to amass to their respective sides the largest fractures of the ANC. The DA wants to preserve the GNU because it wants to govern South Africa with the neoliberal faction of the ANC - whose spiritual head is Ms Zille. MKP/EFF forces, on the other hand, lay claim to the national democratic revolutionary fructures of ANC by right of the struggle against class, race and gender oppression, exploitation and separation - the ANC yiNdlu ka Gogo (it's our Grandma's House) to which all of us belong, says former President Zuma. Very instructive podcast indeed, Hlubi.

She is not racist but completely in denial of a global invisible system that favors people of a particular identity. Original from Germany did I hear that correct? Impressive conversation. Wish could ask her exactly judge Hlophe did to became an impeachment judge very interesting to know not thru propaganda stream media. Thanks to this channel. keep it up with a good job . AYEYE 🎉

I like this Sizwe. He is growing into his role of an interviewer, very objective and gives the guest as much room as possible to express themselves in a context. Please have RAF CEO and Thabo Mbeki. Controversial characters indeed. And I know you previously had RAF CEO on your TV show and that was a heated show

I have to admit that this particular interview adds to my perception about Hellen Zille as a person......as a person I believe she is extremely intelligent....very brilliant of coz I dont agree with her politics.....and choice of words in politics.....but still I believe if you compare her with Fikile Mbalula....they You'd Agree that the ANC should be embarrassed to have him as an SG.....let alone a former minister of anything..

WELL DONE DOC! You treat every guest with the same respect. Plus tight sweater Son

She actually doesn't seem to be more of what the media perceive her to be.

Big up to the whole Crew of SMWX who had to do this hard work of listening to Helen‘s bullsh@t for a whole hour to give us context and perspective!!!, I appreciate it,I can’t imagine that that could have been easy!!,you have my respect and admiration!!,Sizwe is a bigger man than I can ever be cause I couldn’t have lasted ten minutes with her!.

You'll need to pick apart exactly which parts of the interview that you found unbelievable with cross referencerable proof in order to make your case before anyone with half a brain will be able to take your comment seriously! You may have noticed that every argument she made in this interview was backed up with cast iron proof instead of the vague sort of gut feel rubbish that seems to pervade this comments section ;)

Wena ona lebothatha stru, most people dont agree with Helens politics.....but your comments are not a matter of differing opinion.....you are just out of order running on the Hater Lane.....iphe botho..

Thank you for this interview. I now understand some of Helen's reaction to my approve during a recent conversation we had 3 months or so ago.

I don't like DA but I like Helen Zille. She is a non apologetic politician , and I sometimes respect the points she raises , like this 73% of unused KZN land for example.
@tonitappous242214 сағат бұрын
What's not to like about the DA? The DA has a 15 year track record of honest ( Clean Audits) and very capable Governments that deliver for ALL South Africans, especially the poor!! See - DA delivers for the poor and vulnerable, BusinessDay. See - Impressive new school in the Western Cape, KZbin. This is a beautiful new Kasi school in Lwandle in Cape Town!

You and your Zille will keep your dirty hands out of that unused land. The people of Kzn mostly Zulu's will decide what to do with it. Again, the very same 73 % unused land is with whites. Wena rest!
