I connected so deeply with what you said about adult friendships and making new aligned friendships. I’m also very independent, value my time + my alone time and am ok being alone vs just filling time with people. I’ve been struggling with feeling like the state I’m living in is keeping me small and I’ve felt called to move out of state, so watching your journey has been so inspiring for me as I determine where the universe wants me to go. Sending you a virtual hug!💛

Hi Shayla, I found your moving to new york video and I'm catching up on your videos lol. I really resonated with what you were saying about your struggles. My dad was never in my life and was a nasty person and I struggled with that for a long time growing up. I also did a big move and moved from Greece to Australia at 17 so deeply feel for you. You are honestly such a positive and down to earth person. You have given me so much motivation each day. I just wanted you to know that you are helping so many people. And the fact that you are so self aware and respectful of your own feelings in the moment is the most therapeutic thing I've seen online. 💕

9:23 hey Shayla, I've noticed this ever since you got your new camera you know how sometimes you talk to the camera while holding it, like the camera isn't set somewhere but your just holding it...its very shaky in those scenes I can't look at the video in those scenes because it gives me a headache...maybe it's something you can change like a setting or something to stabilise the video and make it look less shaky and more steady.... did I say that so it makes sense or am I just rambling lol idk...

Such a great vlog. I am also single and spend a lot of time alone. And don’t have many friends. And often feel sad. But remind myself how important the friends are that I do have. But so good to see others are not always living the perfect life that is so often shown online. So thank you for sharing xx

This vlog wasn't even boring - it was fully relatable. felt good to see that I am not the only one living in and embracing the chaos at the moment. Thank you love! I wish I could've met you when I visited NYC last week. I've always wanted to go to a pottery class. I saw on your IG that you did go to the class by yourself and I love that you did. You might be alone but you're not lonely, you got yourself and that's all you need. Such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing, love!

So true of what you said about the desire sometimes of having a packed schedule, having a plan on a Friday night, rushing through the season you're in to get to the next. Being alone and being okay with that. I am going through a really hard break up and moved out into my own apartment. It's been life altering and an emotionally uncomfortable transition. What used to fill my schedule was "us" plans and is now "me" plans. Learning to be okay with that. Being okay with my big plan on a Friday & Saturday night is a self care luxurious bubble bath, face mask, cook a healthy dinner and favorite episode of a show. You can't force yourself to be where you aren't. I know one day I'll look back at this time and be grateful for the time I took for myself. Thanks for making me feel less alone in that too Shayla.

While watching this VLOG I was so hard thinking about moving to NYC and hang out with you! Def vibing with everything you said! 😂❤️ We’re same age and I experience a lot of loosing my friends to motherhood (it’s actual not a bad vibe but they get different schedules, interests and rather hang out with other mums) while I started to be more into yoga, mindfulness & health. In my 20s I moved cross country two times and it was easy to make some new, real connections then. But nowadays I am really looking for the like-minded ones, and rather hang out with the dogs than with people who are not.

No one gets a hall pass from life..no doubt. And gurl I've been following your move and you have every right to feel fustrated. It's been non stop! You must be leaning on your practice. I'm curious why your luck has changed so much in NYC.. there's a modality called astrotography which might be interesting for you to look up. You might have a Saturn, (the hard teacher planet) line running through NYC. Anyway, stay strong, clear and focused on creating a life of flow, ease and fun! Sometimes the most worthwhile things takes pereserverance, patience, and rising up to the challenges..as your successful career reflects. Mucho amor 💕
@ShaylaQuinn2 жыл бұрын
Hi my love!! I don’t think my luck has changed, I’m looking at it as the period of resistance and contraction before a BIG UPLEVEL! Doesn’t make it any less uncomfy but in my experience this is the dip before the rise! 💗 also I have a whole podcast episode on astrocartography - which is part of the reason I came to the east coast 🙃💗🤗

Covid brain fog is totally real. I’m 7 months out and my memory is still shot. I spent 15 days in the hospital in January. Covid double pneumonia. I started loosing my hair in February, side effects of Covid. Slowing down now but have not much hair. Praying you don’t have this. No one told me, so I was shocked to find out there was this kind of side effect. NY? Not sure I’d want to live there. Been there multiple times but not really my vibe for living. I’m an all summer hot weather gal. You look great btw. Enjoy
