This is a really cool project and I have massive respect for them making the wear parts like the firing pin and ejector AR-15 parts. A less scrupulous company would intentionally make the parts proprietary to make extra money selling extraordinarily marked up parts for profit. Doing what he is doing is good for the consumer.

These passion projects are honestly 100x more interesting and beneficial to the gun community than 90% of what you see in the main hall at Shot Show. I'm not knocking the large companies, their ability to mass produce firearms and make them adorable and available to the world is important, but most of the large companies will play it safe and not try to innovate or set a new trend in the market. This is proven by the 5 zillion different versions of the AR15 that we have seen for the last 15 years. I believe that its the guys who say "success be damned, I want to make this firearm because it is cool and interesting" who are the ones who drive the firearms community.
