I love how we are all doing the same thing (knitting) but the nuances of how each of us do it mean we can prefer very different tools :) I'm a metal needle fanatic who hates wooden needles, because I'm a tighter knitter and like the slide. Meanwhile you appreciate the grippy-ness of the wooden ones for your tension. :)

I've recently discovered a knitting app called "Knit and Note" with which you can track your knitting projects, store your patters in PDF or picture if you have them in a book (super useful!), see other people's projects, etc. You can even set up different row counters which I find REALLY useful, and it has a ruler to help you measure your gauge. It has a yarn stash tracker as well. Probably so much more that I have yet to discover, but it has definitely changed my life as a knitter!

With wrist pain I found that yoga has helped strengthen my wrists so much, which helped tons!

Could you do a vid showing the difference between the 5 inch and 4 inch needles? I'd love to get some Seeknits one day, but your comments left me questioning the size I should get

i adore my chiaogoo interchangeables, cocoknits colorful lightbulb stitch markers, pony yarn needles (with the soft plastic loop), the gynstad drawstring makeup bag i use as a project bag (perfect size, soft, portable, gorgeous), itty bitty tiny whiny "super snips" scissors with a 1,5 cm blade and rubber cover, any old crochet hook in size 3mm ish, any old retractable measuring tape and the yarn bowl made to look like a hedgehog my friend made me out of clay

I’m with you on the needles, stitch markers, super snips and retractable tape measure. I’ve been buying the fancy handmade stitch markers and then never use them. I always go for the lightbulb markers

Super interesting how different preferences for knitting needles could be! I absolutely adore my Addi Premiums and I cannot stand wooden/bamboo needles nor interchangeable ones 😅 I love the slipperiness of the metal needles so I can go so much faster and having one piece circular needles means yarn doesn't get stuck on that little connection point. They also have a dull point so I don't end up with a sore finger from pushing the stitches off 😂 I tend to magic loop everything so I don't really need multiple different lengths either!

Thanks for the wash tub idea! I have never thought of that but it’s genius. I am always cleaning out our sinks and tub to block my knits which is a pain in the add. A wash tub is the perfect accessory for that. And nice that your link is already from bol so I can use that in Netherlands 🎉

My electric row counter is also essential for me. And barber cords.

See, I am in love with my driftwood lykke needles. I hate bamboo needles for the opposite reason you hated them. They gripped too much and my tension was always too tight. They always hurt my hands. I will stand by lykke needles and will probably buy the shorter circular set and a dpn set. I am interested in how their crochet hooks too

I'm learning quickly that project bags are a must, while only having one project bag. My projects are EVERYWHERE, and it's a huge mess dealing with the yarn for each project and the projects themselves... Really I need to either start making project bags or start investing in them instead of yarn for a little while.

A row counter is essential for me 😅 I hate the colour of mine (it’s purple and I hate purple) but with my adhd it’s the only way

I'm in the process of investing in a set of Seeknits :). I was going to order the 5" ones but after seeing your video, the 4" ones seem to make more sense. If you were to purchase for the first time, would you go with the 4" over 5" lengths? Or maybe those sizes below 5mm, it'll be better to purchase the 4"?
