Because it is an app I most likely will never buy it. However that T-shirt your wearing Steve, I might buy one of them.

I love all Paul Brook’s products, but this price for 1 shortcut is really really 😅

Thanks for the kind words. Try not to see it as 'as shortcut' it's actually more like an app. But even then, it's the end result you are buying, which either has value for you or not.

I like the idea, but I don't like the price and especially the "protection" brooks uses for his apps. I get that he wants to protect his apps, but I don't want to share my device + location constantly with him.

Hi Marcel, I'm not here to change your mind, but just to correct something you said. The user doesn't have to constantly send locations; it's a single-time registration thing.

@@PaulBrook Thanks for clarifying that!

Please put your pitches later in the video or at the end. It’s painful to see over and over again while watching different videos.

Come on. It lasts like 20 seconds. I understand that might be a lot for you in some cases, but you aren't paying Steve for these videos, so let him at least have a moment to sell you his course. You probably have no idea how much time goes into making videos and maintaining a KZbin channel. And the fact you want it at the end, so you can skip it, gives you the reason why he does it at the beginning. Btw did you know you can fast forward in the video? And besides all that, it's not that he is selling a shit product. It really is a great course. If you join now you get a lot of content, a huge backlog of live sessions and there is a great and active community.

The only thing painful here is your complaining. Get over yourself. If you want the free content, sit through a few seconds of a pitch, it’s what pays for what you’re watching.

Marketing clue phone. First, I didn’t say he shouldn’t pitch. Of course he should, because his content should not in the end be free. What I said was that he should not do this right at the start when he is supposed to be hooking in (potentially new) viewers. The data show that the start of a video is the most crucial time to get people to watch and get them engaged. Once hooked, then pitch (for gosh sakes, look at buskers, they don’t make the hat pitch at the start). And in any case, eve if I’m one data point, my viewpoint should be unpacked. But I don’t think I am.

Don't like, done watch. Everyone. All the time are pitching. For anyone who has spent any time tuned in: Steve forgets to say stuff. Placing the pitch upfront helps him get the vid done.
