Deacon Blackfire's file says he's just a run-of-the-mill conman, and the whole "immortality" bit is just another lie. He also doesn't really need to be an expert on chemical and psychological manipulation to start a fanatical cult. Just look at the real life Christian cults. The Amish, the Mormons, Jehovah's Witness, the Catholic Church, all of them are just like Blackfire. They twist God's Word and manipulate poor people just to feel powerful, assuming they're not mentally ill and believe it themselves.

Charlotte A. Cavatica This mercenary organization seems to have been a pre-existing one by the time Jason found them. Jason spent several months in Venezuela recovering from the torture that the Joker inflicted on him and planning his revenge on Batman. It’s easy to assume that he found the militia during this time and convinced them to work for him, likely promising future riches (probably looting Gotham). Here’s the part you asked for. Once he had the manpower, getting money wouldn’t have been hard. It’s entirely possible that Jason had access to some of Bruce’s secrets, which could include bank accounts and/or hidden reserves of money and resources. With the skills he has, theft of such resources would have been easy for Jason to pull off. One of the bits of militia dialogue mentions Lex Luthor, implying that he had a hand in funding their operation due to having his own plans for Gotham City. If you listened to Scarecrow’s audio tapes, the Arkham Knight asked for the $3 billion for the army and drones. It’s safe to assume that Crane already had that kind of money on hand, or he had another meeting with the criminal underworld of Gotham and a lot of them contributed to pooling their combined resources together. It could be any one of those reasons or some combination of all three. Up to you whichever one you believe makes the most sense.

Pyg was referring to his actual mother when mentioning Mother Goat. I think by that 0oint in his life she's long since been dead. You could sort of say that she was the reason behind Pyg's twisted sense of perfectionism. It's mostly bad parenting, with the effects being very psychological, nothing too unfamiliar with some of Batman's rogues. Pyg now hallucinates his mother and is deluded in trying to please her through his horrid attempts of making people perfect. This really shows how terrifyingly mentally ill Lazlo is. And yes, he did kill his son's mother, but I'm not sure precisely why he did it. Nor do I know if he did it during or after his son's birth.

I thought it was a great idea, but we Prof.Pyg fans aren't that many... It's still cool to see guys like Firefly, Deadshot and Pyg around even if they aren't the biggest threats in the DC universe... I was so pumped when *Black Mask* , a "C-class vilain" as people complained, was supposed to be the main threat in "Origins"... the twist really pissed me off ^^'
