Have you ever been checked for your registered drone flights (NCAA)? We go to Namibia soon, and I just found out that you have to register every drone flight to the NCAA in advance. I have no time left to do the application process, and we will already be back home when the application will be granted (processing time).

honestly, I've never taken a permit there. There are so few people there, and so many wild places to shoot, that it's not really necessary. Even if you are seen with a drone, they just ask you not to fly it. There are no arrests or fines. Just don't fly in Etosha National Park.
