I honestly was expecting like "Steve" and "Marissa" but this was more amusing. I think the only one I could see warranted renamed would be Trickster, since he is sneaky, but he is also the village welcoming community so he might like that recognition. But I honestly prefer the blue coins over the other games. Except for a way to keep track of them in game, and the implications of the tanuki black market, they're much more satisfying than other collectables.

#188 Elevator and #194 Jet were problems for me because back in the day on my copy of Sunshine, nabbing either one of these had like an 80% chance of freezing the game. You (and by you I mean I) just had to hope and pray the game would decide to register the coin without crashing. Never figured out why it was these two in particular, but at least now, all these years later, I can finally put names to these two troublemakers. Thanks ZoomZike!

That was the same for me until I figured out a way to make them more reasonable. Before starting a new game, download the app "Blue coin tracker" on Android (dunno if it's also on iOS), then whenever you collect a new one check the app and mark the exact one you got. This way, you'll know exactly which ones you collected and which ones you're missing, with instructions on how to get them. Yes, it's still a bit tedious since you have to check your phone for every coin, but it's way better then having 25 out of 30 coins in an area and having no clue on which ones you're missing.

aside from the blue coin tracker, the hack super mario sunburn also makes exploring for blue coins in general a lot more enjoyable and free-form due to the game being made more open. Plus, if you play with 70 star as a win condition, the stars they give you can let you skip shine sprites you don't like, lmao.
