@Jeremy See I know this is off topic... but have you sampled the Arturia KeyLab 88 Key Midi Controller? Arturia also makes a 49 & 61 in their KeyLab series. I've got the EK-50, and I'm really happy with it, it's way superior than the other brands in the price range, since it's basically a rebuilt PA-50SD which was an excellent product back then. I'm definitely looking forward to see the next models of these EK series from Korg, I hope they continue building these based on their discontinued PA keyboards instead of using a cheap Chinese rebranded keyboard like Roland is doing with their EX series.

What I wait: Yamaha PSR-S670 successor. Yamaha MX61v2 successor. Yamaha PSR-E line update. Casio PX-S1000 with 73 keys. Full weighted. Or a PX-5S with 73 keys and speakers, with same sound and functions. Or a CDP-S350 with 73 keys AND a proper line out jack. I'm happy for the existence of the Yamaha P121 in the market. Graded weighted 73 keys. This means quality keys AND portability. I don't like the size and weight of the 88-key digital pianos, because I don't have access to transportation to carry them. And I need my back healthy, so my only real interest is in 73-key digital pianos. For today I'm aiming to buy a P121 to learn how to play piano, but I'll wait for NAMM to see what the brands will launch.

@@awilsonramos the brands need to look to the 73-key mid cost market. Most of the 73-key keyboards we have today are too expensive (Montage, Kronos, FA07, Nords, MODX, Krome, Juno DS76), and they don't have weighted or semi-weighted keys. I'm hoping to see more options in the market. The best mid-range today is the Yamaha P-121. Check it out.

Nice job Jeremy, some good insight as to what may be coming. I'm anxious to see if there is anything new coming out before I pull the trigger on a new Keyboard in 2020. So far the Casio (can't believe I'm saying Casio) PX-s3000 is winning my wallet. I started back in the 80's on a Casiotone CT-7000, and here I am now, 35 years thinking of going back. I think the PX-s3000 will do a nice job replacing my Yamaha P80 and Ensoniq ZR76 both. We'll see!

I'm in the same place, Frank. Buying in March and the PX-S3000 seems the way to go. I've been putting it through its paces at work and it is a marvelous instrument for the price. But I will by March whether it has a real 2020 competitor or if they update it in any way.

It still is the best but you can wait like me! Yamaha launched I400 as a tweaked down version of I500 without sampling function and less tones and styles but if somebody doesn't want those India specific stuff then 463 is still the best. I am waiting for an update too..

Hi Jeremy interesting speculations. I do really hope that Yamaha will produce a successor for the E363 and 463 but I strongly doubt we will see anything revolutionary in that direction, it will probably be the same stuff as ever with a few more sounds and styles as usual. I also hope to see the successor of the PSR S670 with a touchscreen and revamped sounds and styles. If Casio could put on the market a keyboard based on the AiX chip but with a decent ergonomy it would be great but I doubt it, too. It would also be the right time for a replacement of the older PX360 and 560. “Que sera sera...” 🤗

Yamaha needs to make a successor for the Yamaha CP4 they should keep the wooden keys with synthetic ebony and ivory keys, keep the CFX Concert grand and add the Bösendörfer Imperial and they really need to add some good pipe oragans

Roland only focuses on arranger keyboard market of India. Roland XPS 10 and 30 are industry standards in India. They feel premium and have all the sampling and tone production features but specifically for the Indian market.

Something tells me Yamaha might actually be making a bunch of new changes and adding new features to the PSR E3 series which I can't wait for, I wonder they will add for professional features like pitch bend or sound editing. Or they might just improve sound quality. However I won't be happy of they just add a few sounds and styles since Yamaha needs an update to compete with Casio CTX keyboards... Still, I'm very excited! 😁

I used to attend the Summer NAMM show, because I live in middle Tennessee as I had been to the past three Summer NAMM. But the last one was a disappointment, not as many keyboard products like it used to be and Hammond was not at the very last one. So I do not plan on attending any more Summer NAMM shows.

oh Casio! Why? You make a unique product mz- x500 with its ability to layer 6 hex layers, sample and touch screen and then do little promotion and now stopped production. Anyway I hope Yamaha update the psr-e463 to include creation of user tones, ability to store multiples samples, modulation wheel, octave and transpose buttons and a pattern sequencer, what an awesome keyboard that will be

NAMM can go down to online irrelevance for all I care. Summer NAMM 2019 was in Nashville, 100km from me. They sent me spam for months hyping it up, and I took two days off of work to be able to go. Then they refused to SELL me a ticket. It's not free, but they won't sell a ticket to everyone. When their first spam email came after they declined to sell me a ticket, I sent them a nastygram and blocked their mail. I hope that the big names don't bother going to NAMM if they won't let people come see their stuff who might want to buy it. I'm excited about the new products, but bring on the products outside of NAMM.

Is it too much to ask for a 88 graded hammer action with a large touch screen that also displays music notation with state of the art mainstream sounds onboard to be produced as the basic standard of keyboard expected by todays consumers? Or are the lazy ass livestock manufactures going to give us their cheap ass components and sounds when they have the state of the art sound samples and touch screens up their sleeves? I am going to wait and not spend money until they produce what I want.

The Casio Privia PX-S3000 with the Chordana app on your tablet is pretty close -- I don't know about LIVE notation, but check into it.
