Love KS-Digital !! They do crazy good work. I had all: Amphion, Neumann, Adams, Focal… but KSD is doing something special. So transparent, flat and fun at the same time. Couldn‘t recommend them enough
@Journeymanlive
@Journeymanlive 15 сағат бұрын
indeed they seem to do something good. did you get rid of the Amphion? which KSD model do you have?
@sdmsdm4463
@sdmsdm4463 13 сағат бұрын
@ yes, I sold my one15 to get the a200 from KSD. I still love the amphion sound and if the two18 would go as deep as the a200 I eventually would have taken them. But the KSD give me so much more information in the lowend - in a natural and honest way. Sure I could buy the Flexbase from Amphion, but that is a bit too expensive and I honestly don‘t believe in Subs (unless its something like the basetwo25 system - but that is not in my price category). The KSD give me a clear picture of the overall sound. Moreover they invented DSP in the 90s - so for me it was clear if I get a DSP Monitor it surely is KSD. And because of their built-in 6 band eq I‘ll never need a Trinnov or Sonarworks which is a plus for me :)
@Journeymanlive
@Journeymanlive 10 сағат бұрын
@ nice thanks fro the input! is that more for tracking or mixing ? I do have One15 and a Flexbase, I love both. I heavily criticized Flexbase when it came out and didn't believe in subs either. Flexbase is incredible even in a temporary room, makes the One15 sound like SCM100, or even deeper. Still interested in KSD although I do not care for DSP at all, they seem well made for not too much money compared to all the 10k€, 15k€ brands!

@@Journeymanlive nice! cool that it works so well :) I never listend to the flexbase yet. Yes - I think for that quality, the prices are pretty fair.

I just moved to Focal after working with many different brands, from barefoot, PSI, Quested, Adam, Hedd and Yamaha. Safe to safe I’m a Focal man now. I can’t imagine ever changing speaker, I’m so impressed with the Focals. They manage to be full range while still making you focus on the midrange, where the heart of the song is. 👏

Isn’t technology amazing? What a great time to be in the music business. I love the fact that we have all this amazing digital equipment, the latest hi tec speakers etc, combined with 100 year old tube technology. It’s simply awesome. Also Warren, your interviewing skills are next level. Yours are by far my favourite NAMM videos.

@ $68000 US 😳😳 I’m in Australia, so they would probably be closer to $100,000 for me 😂😂 Currently, in my little home studio, I get about $200 for mixing a song…that’s a lot of songs 😂😂

As soon as I saw that reel to reel tape recorder, I could almost smell the tape. growing up My father had a stereo reel to reel he actually built from a kit had a wooden frame, and he had a couple of Beatles and a Chet Atkins tape. I started playing guitar and buying Tape and playing around with it I can remember getting some cool echo but yeah the smell of the tape. You can’t get that in a DAW. lol.

Copyright rules need to change. You should be able to protect copyright against from someone using your music alone to monetize their channel, as opposed to those using to monetize their talent or product by using your music. For instance, this stupid thing where I can walk on the show floor of NAMM and listen to Stevie Wonder coming over some ridiculously priced speakers (seriously, $68K - what are we, Audiophiles?) and no copyright infringement is claimed. But you can't record yourself listening to that music at NAMM and then rebroadcast it without triggering KZbins / Googles brain dead AI that can put you out of business. It's totally obvious to anyone that the people watching this video haven't come here to listen to a Stevie Wonder song played over those ridiculously priced speakers in a room with no acoustical treatment and background levels more appropriate for a airport runway.
