Actually this contract was given 5 years ago, but due to covid and doklam incident which led to sanctions on chinese company in India,this led to further delay. 5 years ago,BEML metro production was slow. But right now,BEML can rapidly manufacture and produce metros

As of I know BEML offered a bid of 800cr for coaches but CRCC did a bid for almost half the amount this was done in 2019 But due to COVID-19 and delay in availability of VISA to Chinese Engineers has been the reason for delay. The coaches are expected to arrive by early or mid February of 2024

In other ways jobs are being created here, to manage these trains there will be a remote center and people will be hired there, so not completely killing, also this decreases travel time, frequency when compared to earlier one which is the need of the hour in the current world since time is precious for everyone
