Namolokama Regatta

The Namolokama Canoe Club held their annual regatta on Saturday, June 8th at Hanalei Bay. The weather was beautiful but the ocean was a bit worked up! There were some challenges getting canoes on and off the beach for races. Four canoes got totally swamped by waves that rolled in when the teams were making their way out to the starting line (two of them are shown in the video). Despite the swell, there was only a single huli all day. I'm not going to name names, but if you want to know about it, ask Steve Cole 😉. I know Pam didn't make the race happen all by herself but I'm certain it would not have worked out so well without her - THANK YOU PAM!!!
