Brody must've respected Rocky a lot. He sold like I've rarely saw him do ,let alone letting him win cleanly by pinfall.
@thebigandgreat13 жыл бұрын
He did respect Soulman because Rocky just like Brody was one of the boys who worked his ass off breaking barriers in region territories which Brody knew had to be extra hard for him being a black man in that time.

Bruiser Brody stopped taking steroids by the 1980s .
@soft76cider5 жыл бұрын
According to Dave Meltzer, Brody was trimmed down later because he realized that after facing Jumbo Tsuruta, who was very athletic wrestler, several times in the late 70's~early in the 80's, he would have to do so for fighting against him again for AJPW's heavy weight title(NWA international heavy) in the 60min full match in the early 80's to come.
@BigBobbyRayz5 жыл бұрын
I found out Bruiser Brody was weighing at 325-330 at this time; while in the 80's he leaned upnto be around 280's-290's
@georgeelmerdenbrough69065 жыл бұрын
He started lean about 265lbs but within a year or two he was 330lbs . Most of hia career though he had stopped being a weight lifter and started ftaining with heavy bags and passive resistence that is good for tendon strength and joint health . His weight was usually about 285 lbs . He was 6'5" so this weight was enough to be strong and inmosing without being hard on his frame . He was a very bright guy . He was incredibly frugal on the road , he invested well , did very shrewd business . Although some of his habits were short term losers he was set up to own a territory in his 50s . He had plans .

To those of you who grew up on WWF/WWE stop judging these guys wrestling ability off of this match , this was for the brass knuckles championship, it was not meant to be a wrestling match , this was meant to be a brawl. All the good scientific matches these guys had in their careers you might want to actually learn about wrestling outside of WWF/WWE cartoon crap . Once upon a time the WWF had real wrestling also, but Vince Jr slowly but surely brought that to an end.

It's just funny everyone says rest in peace Rocky Johnson and Bruiser Brody was murdered in Puerto Rico before his time stabbed in the back and the few wrestlers that were willing to testify Tony Atlas and one or two others were subpoenaed the day after the trial so the man was acquitted for calling Bruiser Brody in the shower and murdering him what they did back then wrestler stepped in showers to talk about their matches
