About 15 to 20 years ago, I became very restless and inquisitive as to from where did God get all the raw material to create this universe from, to create all the suns and stars and planets, and billions of galaxies, to all the people I asked, including Muslims, Sikhs and Christians, Hindus, they all said the same thing like Oh God is so powerful he can create anything just by ushering a word, but this answer was not able to quench my thirst for the truth, I wanted to know the truth, but to me their answer was just not good enough and very childish answer that did not satisfy my thirst and I was on my own to seek the truth, I kept pondering for an answer, I had not studied any religions or went any deeper into them apart from accepting that God does prevail somewhere. So my question was where did he get his raw materials from? I did not believe that God could just wave his magic wand and the universe just sprang out of Nothing, you have to give God the credit for his hard work in having created this universe, we cannot create an atom let alone a universe, so God must be highly intelligent and master Architect, and he must have planned exactly how everything will fit and life form will emerge, sure enough it could not have been that simple even for him, but he did it, but question was where did he get the raw materials to form the planets and suns and stars. sure not from Nothing, we know that you or anyone even God cannot get anything out of Nothing, with all due respect to God, he also needed raw materials for sure. I needed a more logical answer which i could accept, for example we humans can build the tallest building as we have the ability and we can get all the raw materials like sand and cement and steel from the earth, and make anything, but where did God get his materials from? this was the biggest question in my life, and I am so glad that after pondering for over 3 years, I suddenly got an answer in my head, that answer was so simple that it stunned me. remember before creation only God alone existed, there were no sand and cement mines that he could mine for raw materials. There was not even a speck of dust before the creation of our universe and our earth then where did God find all the raw material to form this physical universe. Then after struggling to get to the truth, answer came to as a shock, and i was pleasantly satisfied with my own answer , because it fitted with our modern science, and logic, no magic wand ! So suddenly I realised that if you think deep enough, you do need something to create something, you cannot create anything from absolutely nothing, so where did God get his raw materials, so the answer was so simple and obvious, why I could not work out before and why it took me 3 years to work out, it then became very obvious that since there was absolutely Nothing else other than God alone in existence, therefore He must have created everything from within Himself! I was so enlightened with this logical answer, and my thirst vanished instantly, I instantly realised that whatever God created he did it so from within himself , or from his own self. But this immediately raised another question...how? which meant what kind of entity is God who is able to create matter out of Himself? then fortunately a few seconds later an answer came that said Oh yes, God has to be some form of Energy or Divine Energy, mighty and powerful from which matter was able to be created, that instantly relieved my second question, I was enlightened, all that burden in my mind vanished straight away, I started to realise how God created everything out of himself, which meant that each and every atom that exists came out of God's own mighty Divine Energy ! I was completely satisfied, this also tied up with Einsteins theory of conservation of Energy, where he said Energy cannot be created nor destroyed but can be transformed into other forms, so not only that now satisfies Guru Nanak's teachings that God is eternal had no beginning and will have no ending, and had always been there, so for those who may question where did God come from, the answer is he never needed to have come from anywhere as he always existed, as that was the default state of his existence, Nothing did not prevail and nOthing does not prevail in the universe, there is no empty space in the universe, it is full of Gods divine energy, energy we cannot see, yet it is divine and mighty, This is the nature of things Nothing cannot exist, if it did, then where would God have come from? who would have created him? the answer would be another supreme God then that would not be an answerable as one would then ask where did the supreme God come from? who created him so you could go on forever asking and you would never get an answer, so by default the nature of things is that energy prevailed all along, except this Divine Energy created matter out of himself and that is how we are here, if that Divine Energy did not exist, today we would not be here nor the universe. I am so glad that Sikhism and Bhagavad Gita also mentioned that God is divine energy, who created this universe and that every thing and each and every single atom is from that one supreme God's divine and mighty energy. That meant we are all composed of Gods divine energy and so we are all equal made from that one being, the God, hence why it is absolutely true to say that God exists in everything, so true, and this therefore makes Sikhism and Guru Nanak the true Guru who knew so much about our creation even before Einsteins were born. But today science has reached strides and has carried out experiments and managed to create protons from vast amounts of energy, so indeed God is Energy and Energy is God, and is unseen by our eyes, we cannot see electrons, protons, and other deadly radioactive rays, mingled with gravity, magnetism, laws and forces of physics, light that can cut through steel, just as we acquire more knowledge the more we know God exists as supreme divine powerful energy , and Sikhism is a true religion worthy of adopting to admire thsi Divine Energy the creator of everything.

• There is only oneness; there are no two things. There is only one God, and it is everything. Everything you see is Him. • Merge into the One. • It is within you; it is within everything. All that you see is the oneness. • Onkar stems from the Hindu Om. In fact, Onkar is Om. • Pantheism is Hinduism; God is everywhere. God cannot exist separately from the universe. God is not separate from creation. • Islam is monotheism. • Guru Nanak says Islam is correct about their idea of one God, and Hinduism is right about their idea of God being part of the creation and not separate from the universe. Monotheism and pantheism coexist in the concept of panentheism. God is one, but God is not dependent on the universe. If the universe ceases to exist, God will still exist. • Guru Nanak says, "Tera anth na paya," emphasizing the infinite nature of the divine. In this context, it conveys the idea that the ultimate reality, often referred to as Waheguru in Sikhism, is beyond human comprehension and cannot be fully understood or contained. Essentially, Guru Nanak's teachings emphasize the transcendental and limitless nature of the divine, suggesting that it is impossible for human beings to fully grasp or reach the end of the divine essence. This concept encourages humility, devotion, and a recognition of the vastness of the spiritual journey. • Duality comes from conditioning. • You are just as capable of reaching the same enlightenment as Guru Nanak Dev Ji. • The phrase "Ham kukar day dharbar" is a line from Gurbani, the sacred scriptures of Sikhism. This line reflects humility and submission before the divine. In Sikh philosophy, humility is considered a virtue, and acknowledging oneself as a "dog in your court" expresses a sense of unworthiness and the recognition of the divine as the ultimate master. • Overall, this line reflects the Sikh ideals of humility, devotion, and recognizing the divine as the ultimate authority. It's a reminder of the importance of surrendering one's ego and acknowledging the higher power in the spiritual journey. • You are genuinely nothing. Genuine humility. • Even the mistakes are made by God because there is no "me." The "I am" must not take credit for mistakes as well. • All mistakes are His blessing and His doing. • All that there is, is God. • A good story example about good and bad: Let's say it's your wedding day, and it started to rain. You wanted an outdoor wedding, and it is ruined. But on the other side of the city, there is a farm that has been begging God for rain for its crops. In this case, is the rain good or bad? It is neither. We only label things as good or bad based on how they affect us. • Another example: When a lion kills a gazelle, is it good or bad? It does not affect you. So it's neither good nor bad. But now let's say a lion comes and kills your child. Is it good or bad? Now, because it affects me. This brings back the 'I'm'. • The story revolves around a saint whose beloved son falls seriously ill and eventually passes away. When the saint's wife expresses surprise at his seemingly calm reaction, he explains his perspective. The saint reflects on the fleeting nature of happiness and compares the time when his son was alive to a dream. He emphasizes the concept of "hukum," which signifies acceptance of the natural order and events in the universe without attaching labels or judgments. The saint highlights the insignificance of one's words and thoughts in influencing external events. The narrative then transitions to the question of why the guru (teacher) intervened in certain situations, prompting contemplation on when and how one should take action in the face of adversity. • Before his son was alive, he knew how to be happy. • Absolute neutrality to what is happening to us in the universe. It simply is what it is. • How do I know whether to do anything? A scenario: If 10 people are attacking 1 person and I'm weak, I can't help that person. But if I'm a karate master and I see 2 men attacking a woman, I can do something. So it depends on the situation. If I have the ability to do something, then there is a reason I'm standing there. The universe has placed me in the position. Sometimes the universe will place me in a place where I can't do anything as well. The universe does not get itself involved. • There is a Shabad Guru Gobind Singh Ji wrote in the Dasam Granth where he talks about his battles. He talks about a particular enemy on the other side of the field, and Guruji rode up to that enemy in the middle of the battle and with one swoop takes his sword and chops the head of the enemy. Guruji writes in his Bani that before my sword touched the enemy's head, his fate had already been sealed; the universe had already decided that this man was going to die today. It simply used my sword to carry out that task. Guruji doesn't bring himself into the equation. He doesn't say, "I killed you"; he simply says, "Today was your day to die, and the universe simply used my sword and my hand as the vehicle to carry out that destiny." • It's a very high sophisticated way of thinking that there is no 'I.' • If something bad is happening, and the universe is in a position to do something about it, it will do something about it. If the universe has not positioned someone to do something about it, it won't do something about it. Neither event is good or bad. • It's that level of detachment that you have to have; even protecting someone isn't your good deed. • And even you not being able to protect someone isn't your good deed. • There is no room for 'I' in the conversation. • As soon as you say the word 'I,' you've broken it; you've broken Gurunanak G's mathematical perfection. • God, I'm trying to buy a house; please make sure it goes through. It's a negotiation we do with God; we've treated God as a businessman; this is not good. • God, if you do this for me, I'll do this for you; this is not good. • In reality, your ardas should be, "Let me understand your hukum. Whatever happens to me and in front of me, let me accept your hukum." • I am made up of my father and my mother; they made me. I am not me. The food I eat made me. I am not me. I did not make myself. • We cannot apply dualistic thinking to bani. • We are seeing a play that has already been decided; how the outcome is going to be. All you have to do is sit and watch the play. • Guru Gobind Singh Ji called his autobiography "Bachittar Natak," which translates to "The Wondrous Drama" or "The Amazing Play." It is a composition that provides an account of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's life and the historical events during his time. The term "Bachittar Natak" reflects the extraordinary nature of the events and the divine purpose behind them, as described by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. • Even saying something like that is good karma and that is bad karma is wrong because who is to decide what is good and bad? Me? This is dualistic thinking again. There is no me; there is no I. • Even good and bad are dualistic. • Om symbol represents trimurti. Trimurti is trinity. Om symbol looks like number 3. Om represents 3 things: Generator, Observer, Destroyer. God has 3 functions. But the 3 came from the one. So do not worship the 3 of them; only worship the one. Do not worry about the demigods. Because the demigods also meditate on the one. • Ongkar is the physical manifestation of this vibration. The physical manifestation of the non-physical. The world and the universe you see around you are the physical manifestation of the one. From nothingness, ongkar emerges. Creation, sound energy. From nirgun to sargun. • Ik is the formless, and that created the universe that uttered a sound, and the sound that it uttered was ong. And by uttering the ong, that sound created the universe, and that sound never stopped. The onkar is continuing right now. • The universe is this symbol. It is all onkar happening right now. All creation stems from onkar. All shabad comes with onkar. Onkar is the creator you see in front of you. • The whole of Guru Granth Sahib comes from this symbol. • Onkar is the origin of the universe. • Onkar may not be a sound. You need 2 things to make a sound. But at the beginning, there are no 2 things to create a sound. So, onkar is the root of sound itself. It is where sound came from. It is not a word either. It is the origin of the word. It has no source; it is the source. • In your meditation, when all delusion is broken, when attachment is broken, when self-identity is lost, all that will remain is the presence of the one. That presence of the one is manifested in ikonkar. It is the vibration that is already there. • You need to lose all the noise of your self-identity to hear this sound. To experience this vibration that is already there. • At the height of your meditation when there is no duality, you can feel it. It is not a sound. It is the energy of everything. • Through onkar, Brahma was created. Brahma meditated on onkar. • You and onkar need to be one to be liberated. • Through onkar, the Guru's instructions, one swims across. • Listen and reflect on onkar. • From this onkar, the trimurti will be destroyed. Past, present, future, heaven, hell, earth, all will be broken down because everything is onkar.

You are the first Sikh to speak of non duality, and I'm grateful for it. It seems that religion is changed over time and non duality isn't allowed to persist, maybe by the men in charge. I believe it is the basis of Christianity as well. Jesus was non-dual in his thinking in my opinion.

It confuses me that the Sikh's uniforms bear the stated purpose of standing apart from non-Sikhs, especially so that they are recognized as helpers in case of need. But that is out of context in the West. Maybe 2% of non-Sikhs see the turban and have a positive impression. Ok, lets be generous and say 10% recognize Sikhs and think they are looking at principled people. This means that the turban is only communicating effectively with other Sikhs. Now, it's not for me to question the tradition of wearing turbans. I realize that tradition runs like a river through the blood and memories of genocide are quite recent. If people want to bring their turbans into a culture that mostly misunderstands, so be it. What I feel uncomfortable about is the reasoning, because my friends and neighbors are invariably faced with OTHERNESS when seeing turbans. Even with all I know after studying this and feeling positive regard for Sikhs and Sikhism, I feel alienated by the turbans. How is proudly setting oneself apart demonstrating Ek Oankaar?

All i hear are "my" teachings, making their way back to "me." 23:34 i pronounced it, Nuh-nuck! A mix between Nanook (of the North) and Canuck, slang for a Canadian. But noooo, "you" and "your elders" know soooo much of what I've been attempting to teach life after life. Just to let you all know, my teachings cannot be understood by those who have yet to live and assimiliate those experiences required to instill within them, the necessary faculties that would allow them a glimpse into the objective realities I've been speaking of. Rudra, Buddha, Adi, Patanjali, Nagarjuna, Goraknath and Nanak are the same characters, just as Krishna, Issa, King Wenceslas and St. John of the Cross are/were the same character. Though that consciousness/spirit has already ascended within, which is why "we" are Here!

Thanks a lot for blessing is with your channel and knowledge and wisdom .Thanks a lot . Guru Nanak told the muslims he will wash the satanic verses in the Quran with the Mool mantra.

Ravidassis are being mislead into again falling into the trap of Brahminism. All these Ravidassis are being lured into the swamp of Hinduism will be low caste Hindus in a few years. *SIKHISM * is the only way out all the so called low castes of India will be saved only by coming into the fold of *SIKHISM * as it is the only *INDIC* religion which can exist independently. It has its own code of conduct called *SIKH REHAT MARYADA* & own marriage ceremony called *ANAND KARAJ* All the other ways lead to the trap of *BRAHMINISM/HINDUISM* No other way out.

@@harpreetldh Let's face it Sikh numbers have fallen in Punjab with a high percentage turning towards becoming Christians which is designed to cause divisions and its mostly the low castes who are lured into becoming Christians but the Ravidassia movement is about refusing to give 10% of all their donations to the Shiromani committee in Amritsar. The Ravidassia community want that 10% to go to funding free hospitals and schools etc. I am more concerned about the youth in Punjab getting hooked on drugs. We are finding that in Canada the Sikh are turning to the gun culture and becoming mafia drug dealers they are losing their identity. Sikhs in Canada are following the caste system which is a shame. To be honest we are all equal no one is higher or lower we should not say the Ravidassia are a lower caste. Pakistan is giving money to muslims in U.K to convert Sikh girls into islam, every week 6 or 7 Sikh and hindu girls get exploited and do convert to islam rejecting Sikhism why don't you spend more time in Sikh Awarness of exploitation of our innocent girls why must this fact be hidden in shame allowing the Jinn masters to walk all over us? Muslims are taught at school in Pakistan to hate hindu and Sikhs we are called kafirs. Look at Dr Zakir Naik who insults Sikhs and gets away with it. How many Sikh Gurus died in vain by the muslims we know Guru Arjan Dev was killed, Guru Tegh Bahadur was killed, Guru Gobind Singh was wounded by the muslims who believed it was their duty to kill all of Guru Gobind Singh four sons which they achieved boasting that they won in the name of Allah. Guru Gobind Singh was badly wounded by muslims who followed the Quran to rid the world of kafirs he ended up walking into his own funeral fire and died. When will the Sikh stand up to islam when will Sikh have the guts to say that the muslims are worshiping a blackstone shiva linga idol in the kaaba. The ISI agency of Pakistan has influtrated Sikhism this is why people are leaving in vast numbers.

@@simransidhu3444 "imported Aryan Deities" 🤣🤣 The Vedas may have the description of the individual deities but there's no representation of them as 'Trimurti'. Btw, the same Vedas in the 'Upanishad' sections have, several thousand years ago, also described the Ultimate Reality as 'Brahman' which is formless, timeless and attributeless (just like 'Waheguru' was later described by Guru Nanak Dev Ji and other subsequent Gurus).

Hinduism is diverse; not all Hindus are pantheistic. Some lineages, such as the Advaita Śaiva Tantra that flourished in places such as Kaśmīr prior to the Mughal invasion, could be classified as panentheistic, or as dialectical monism. That family of lineages even rejected the caste system, much like the Sikhs and Buddhists. 'Dialectical monism' is the view that one consciousness/energy cyclically generates and dissolves the appearance of a manifold, manifest existence in which dualities such as male/female, good/evil, self/other, etc. temporarily exist and vibrate within consciousness as consciousness. Sikkhī has a beautiful synthesis of both Bhakti and Jñāna elements that can be found in other yogic and Sufi traditions which predate Gurū Nānak.

It is to the credit of Guru Nanak Ji & other Sikh Gurus that they accepted & gave place to all the Enlightened souls by iincluding their writings in *Sri Guru Granth Sahib* & we Sikhs bow to them each day. Guru Nanak Dev Ji did not claim that he had monopoly on truth but to his credit was the first one to reveal & save this truth for the whole world. Had it not been Guru Nanak Dev Ji & other Sikh Gurus, this truth could have never been revealed. Even today no *Authentic* writings of the Bhagats exist outside of *SGGS*. This wisdom is revealed to the world & is still guiding the world only due to the efforts of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

If Good and Bad are relativistic as you say they are, what about rape, Genocide, mass murder, and other things that are done pathologically, with no benefit to anyone? The truth is that morality is not relativistic as you claim. Your examples work well for the rain as there are benefits, but fall short to the extreme of ignorance when speaking of actual human catastrophes where everyone is harmed.

These so-called “bad” things are labelled as such because humans have created “bad” and “good”, “acceptable” and unacceptable”, whereas pure God doesn’t label, there isn’t that in Oneness. It simply IS what it IS. God permeates in EVERYTHING. In what we label as “bad” or “good”.

As much as I like the simplicity of the message here, I really did not appreciate the reduction from "Who is God" to "What is God to" God is basically us in Nature ". There is a Kartaar, a" Do-er "He is not different from us, but Guru Nanak Dev ji did not try to open the door to atheism / pantheism as this video has enabled me to say this is your intention Bhai Satpal Singh jee, but it is definitely aweakness of the message propagated here_L, I can not quite put my finger on it, but there is definitely something lost in your translation / reduction / approach

Thank you for the video. But humbly I will say that Prayer has a role to play and Ardaas has been shown in many janamsakhis where Guru's Sikhs prayed for his Darshan and Guru Ji obeyed it. So don't belittle Ardas by using words such as a business deal. There is God within and without us. We pray and chant and this is a way to connect to the inner self. Importance of Sangat and Ardas has been there since Guru Nanak. Sikhs have always started every task after Ardas.

I listen to your podcasts every morning; it’s a part of my daily morning sadhana. While you are doing a great service to humanity by making the Guru’s word available and understandable to us, what I don’t understand is why you have to use such a terminology as “man” and “mankind” to refer to the entire humanity when more inclusive terms are available in English. Bhai Sahib, it is jarring to hear these terms coming out of your mouth in the podcasts when you are talking about the entire humanity, especially given how fantastic and illuminating the content of your explanations is in helping us to truly understand the root of Gurbani.
