That’s what I’m saying too! I really want Russell and Alice the cat!

As a 42 year old single male in America Nanalan has become my own personal antidote to the horrors of the 21st century. It honestly just makes me feel love when I watch it and as trite as it seems, what the world needs now is love, sweet love! Edit: It’s the only thing, that there’s just too little of!

Im always so impressed by how much humans can connect with inanimate objects! The second the hand goes in, and the voice comes out, the host stops looking at and talking to the actors and starts interacting with the puppets even doing baby voice because she is now talking to a "kid"! Hell, I caught myself doing the same! What an amazing performance!

The world is a freaking mess of ignorance, cruelty, sadness, anxiety, cynicism and despair. Nanalan encourages curiosity and kindness, its characters are cheerful and hopeful and gentle and innocent. What is there to wonder about? Seems painfully obvious why it’s needed.

I love that this is making a comeback! I was already an adult when this came out and even though I didn't have kids at the time I enjoyed watching it. It was just so gentle, sweet, and kind. What a lovely show. I'm going to introduce my kids to it .. Even though they're older than the target audience too. 😁

OMG, as a fully fledged adult, I discovered Nanalan while living in California. I hadn't heard of it before, and certainly didn't know it was Canadian (as am I). One of the greatest things I've ever seen was a Nanalan episode with the puppets lost in the woods and being soooo hungry. "Ohhhh.... it's just a BAT...." Still cracks me up! Moments ago I just stumbled upon a Nanalan gif while searching for something for a coworker's 'get well soon' kudoboard, and suddenly that whole episode came back to me. I could not remember what the show was called (I recognized the characters in the gif but there were, of course, no names or no other ID to remind me what the show was called). So I started searching. 10 minutes into searching for "sock puppets lost in the woods" and "it's just a bat" and "Roy".... there it was! So happy it's making a comeback. Such a sweet little show.
