That's exactly my take as well, their bond is a mix of minato/kushina and naruto/sasuke. Lot of parallel between boruto and nanashi and either of these 2 duo i said above and that's why it works so well. Their relationship is written with the best of both worlds which make the ship believable/credible. Kishimoto said he suck at writing female characters or romance, well it seems he learned from his past mistakes cuz nanashi is a great female character (honestly the best kunoichi to me in the narutoverse) and her romance with boruto is cute and well written. And that moment when she grab him, beg him to stay then scream his name the louder she can, girl did find her soulmate no need to do her like this she don't deserve that,ikr ☹️🥲

There is a very important meaning behind Nanashi/Hikari Uchiha's name. Nanashi (名無し) in Japanese means nothingness, none, ain't, nothing, nil, or not, while Hikari (光) in Japanese means light. This means that in the beginning, her name Nanashi represents that she used to be "nothing' but a tool or weapon for the Uchiha clans, but later on after Boruto guides her out of the darkness and shows her the light, her name changes from Nanashi or "nothingness" to Hikari or "light", which shows that she is no longer "nothingness" no longer a weapon for anyone or the Uchiha clan, but light the same light of freedom that Boruto showed her after she was free. This is a very symbolic story, similarly representing the old message from Naruto's story of not giving up, chasing your own dream and changing your own destiny in life. I hope most of the future Boruto series can be as good as this video game story arc.

Their are MANY ways you could have done the story of Boruto and the way they've done it, particularly a good bit of the beginning to middle part of the story, was not an ideal way to go about it. Its not the worst thing ever, but they could have done way better than do the obvious: Make Boruto an unlikable brat and Naruto a no show father. Its just so obvious and cliche I can die taking a shot each and every time stories do this in the history of forever. And I still have no idea why Kishimoto killed off Madara for Kaguya and then proceeded to make the rest of the series about some weird Alien thing. ​@@stormcutter59 Boruto was just ended in Part 1. Compare to Naruto Part 1, they're both yet the reach the turning point similar to Pain arc did that solidfy the direction the series try to tell. Can you please stop bring up old flaws like Boruto's brattiness and Naruto's suppose lack of good parenting?They're both long resolved their issue and grow to learn their mistake. Their situation is a deconstruction to Naruto's ideal life. Instead of a happy family, Naruto's Hokage role just made it harder to balance his family life and job. And of course, as a kid who didn't know anything, obviously Boruto would angry at his father's suppose lack of care and attention. That's why he acts like a brat, to get his dad attention. The anime drag out his bratty phase so I can see why you hate Boruto as a brat, but the manga (the original source) already resolved that in first arc of Momoshiki. Boruto already become a more empathetic and understanding person who understand way of Shinobi and what Hokage entails, which show in this game as well, and Naruto has long acknowledge his mistake for not understand Boruto's problems. Yeah, I agree the Otsutsuki twist in Naruto is an asspull and I assume part of Boruto's conception is to explore that clan more. The Otsutsuki villains are also empty as well, though the series isn't over yet so there is a chance it will explored the clan deeply and understand the root of their motivation. Overall, the series actually show continuation of Naruto's theme through deconstruction, like how Naruto's love drove Kawaki to the point of worshipping and betray Boruto to protect Naruto, rather than just love and erase emptiness and hatred, or how, despite what Naruto has done to create the peaceful era, there are times when one willing to go extreme to maintain that peace.

I really like seeing more of the warring state period. We only get to see flashbacks or quick summaries, and I love all the stories and atmosphere it contains. The anime and manga barely show us how dark it was, and we know a few characters from that time (I like to read ao3, don't blame me if I wanted to see them in action here). It's a shame we didn't get to see Madara or Hashi or Tobi, but perhaps they weren't alive in that time, as it must've happened before they were born, or maybe when they were little.

I refuse for her to be a one time deal characters ingame only. She deserve her place in the main story in one way or another, she don't deserve to be a forgetten character at all. Her dynamic with boruto is great and adorable, a spoiled uzumaki boy born in times of peace loved by everyone being the only one capable of saving/bonding (and eventually making her fall in love too) with an uchiha female born in times of war, treated as an outcast, weapon all her life was a great idea. They have nothing in common and this contrast is what make them growing that close to eachother special, what makes their relationship meaningful. Hikari ain't just a useless fangirl in love with the hero, they are two sides of the same coin, they complete eachother.

You know? The normal ending was bitter sweet. My brother watched me play, and during Nanashi's death scene we BEGGED for her to survive. So when Boruto started talking during the credits and the screen cracked, followed by the reveal of the Actual True Ending, we were overjoyed because we knew, in some form or fashion, that she would be brought back. The game pulled a fast one on us and it's rare that I get this emotional, but MAN what a beautiful ending!!! 😭😭😭

Boruto standing up for Hikari as he demands her to keep running, only for her to come back and stand by his side with the tornado of black flames. Then the following scene on the hill top where it gets super mushy because we and he knows that his time is limited and that he won't remember her once he returns to his own time. Also, he learned of her true name all the way back in the present, so during the whole battle against her and Mertz we begged for him to tell her her name, so that maybe that would snap her out it. Then again on the hilltop in the past, it was his last chance to do so, so me and my brother once again sat breathless and teary eyed on edged of our seats chanting "Tell her! Tell her! Tell her!" she deserved to know her true name, a name given to her out of love from her parents, unlike the name Nanashi given to her out of hatred and malice by the other Uchiha. After that we begged for Boruto to tell her HIS name instead of that cliche bs with "my name is not important" because we wanted her to be able to at least remember him. Then at the very end, when the sun delivered its message to Boruto and Naruto found this mysterious scroll where Hikari mentions his son by name, we were satisfied, even if it was a bittersweet ending. Sure, Hikari and Boruto couldn't have each other, and one of them had to forget the other, but all plot threads were beautifully tied together and resolved in the best way possible. This short story reminded me why I love the series so much.

Within the time the Uchiha had Nanashi the Senju and Uchiha were still warring with each other. It wasn't until later on when Madara and Hashirama got stronger is when they squashed their beef. But that scroll Madara is reading, Nanashi had already lived out her life.

There are two fanfics that bring me back into the "Naruto" universe, and they make me curious about how the "Boruto" section will turn out because of the butterfly effect born in them: 1 (Pixie of the Hidden Leaf) - In this crossover fanfic, Kakashi isn't Team 7's sensei, being replaced by "Youjo Senki" psychotically protagonist, Tanya Deguracheff. Under her wing, Team 7 received equal amounts of training, were exposed to their job's ugliest parts in a controlled environment, Sakura was made more ruthless, and the boys were disciplined (even Orochimaru was forced to take them more seriously during their first fight). A potentially non-deserter Sasuke along with a ruthless Sakura makes me wonder what kind of person Sarada will become, with both parents present. Any more predictions may still be a litte premature; 2 (White Eyes) - Neji is Itachi's age. This gives Danzo the idea of using him to slaughter the Hyuga, so the Uchiha can take over the power vacuum and abandon their plans for revolution. With his clan intact, Sasuke's issues never came to be, and so his rivalry with Naruto evolved into an actual friendship, as he's not an edgelord. Hinata on the other hand became a pretty quiet yet focused young woman. Her mask falls however everytime Naruto is around. Her crush for him speaks louder and has her act as the Hinata we know. She and Sakura switch teams on this work. Since she'll most likely be the one who deserts, I wonder who Boruto and Himma will grow up into, having both parents being so absent. I think they'll also be closer in it, since Boruto would have to take care of her in the place of his parents. I nurture no love for the "Boruto" show...But the characters still appeal to me for some reason, particularly Sarada and the Uzumaki siblings. Inojin has his perks, but I don't feel the same depth of appreciation I feel towards the other three.

The real issue comes from Boruto not really going through many personal hardships himself, and yes he is spoiled the characters even point out as much.
