I enjoy learning from Nancy's expanded view of both capitalism and socialism. The following sentiment, in particular, resonates with me, paraphrasing: After reparations for capitalism's damage, socialism must not allow any "free-riding". No free-riding on labor, care work, nature, or public goods. Wow, what does that new world look like? How does it really work? I aspire to create and live in that world, hopefully in my own lifetime.

Perhaps one way to revise the capitalist system is to buy capitalist systems and lands to change them into non-profit charitable systems. However, how and who can do this if capitalistic corporations possess the bulk of the wealth needed to make such change? We need a larger sort of anti-monopoly regulation if capitalism and its wealth blocks off alternative systems from developing. I am enjoying Dr. Fraser's chapter from her new book.

I would like for us to buy our way out of profit-based structures in the future.
