Exactly. Since Kamala started her campaign, I was glued to watching the election only to see Kamala starting with 5% plus and constantly declining. I felt so powerless for not being able to reach the democrats to tell them: _"Explain your _*_policies_*_ instead of hammering out _*_one_*_ slogan about women's rights only!"_ Dems started with a winning-celebration and then didn't deliver anything, because Kamala in her lawyer-manner didn't commit to ANY policies - except for feminism. Even the most radical democrat would have done better. She probably thought that this would give her maximum leverage to do whatever she wanted afterwards, but she came through as being not honest and not authentic. As a man I felt excluded but held my nose until the election not to weaken her; and I am glad that I am not an American to not have to vote in this ridiculous unfair 2-party-electoral-college which prohibits for any nuanced opinion to get a voice ever. It's time for profound and systemic changes on both sides to make the USA believable again.

Kamala ran a great campaign, the odds were against her. Inflation, the unpopularity of Biden, the border, and the Trump campaign painting her as some crazy leftist beat her. I totally agree with Pelosi that Biden should have done more and better messaging on his accomplishments from the start, but he is not a great communicator and got worse. One more thing, a crucial one, is that Trump attracts low trust voters, and people are losing trust with democratic institutions. They feel left out, confused by a system that is opaque to them, and the vote for Trump is actually a vote for political agency. The is is why all the talk about democracy did not get enough votes. I think Pelosi is either avoiding speaking of this or she is ignorant of it.
