No recognition that Italian American women like Ella Grasso (first female governor) and Geraldine Ferraro (first female VP candidate for a major party) paved the way for her--indeed, for all women. When a statue of Columbus in her home city of Baltimore was illegally torn down by angry activists in 2020, and then tossed in the river, her response was, "People are going to do what they do." No mention that her ancestors, the Romans, created the Rule of Law. When COVID hit and President Trump (rightly, as other leaders did) banned flights from China, she had reporters follow her like the Pied Piper through San Francisco's Chinatown, urging people to "reject racism" and come out and eat. That an unknown virus was burning through the planet was of less concern to her than stereotyping Asians. In her entire career, Pelosi never stood up ONCE to denounce Hollywood for its ANTI-ITALIAN stereotypes. And yes, the insider trading issue. An absolute scandal. Shame on the press for ignoring it.
