I think Mrs. Reagan was very comfortable with Mrs. Gorbachev; both seem not to be interested in each other or whatever they had to talk; however Barbara Bush received 2 or 3 years later and they just get very well along. Mrs Reagan did not want the journalista to make questions neither to Raisa nor to her.

I think Nancy had an issue with her, as competitive for press coverage, and maybe did not like her aggressiveness in challenging political views. It's obvious Nancy disliked her, body language spoke volumes. One note, I think it is far harder to impress foreign dignitaries, with a country who barely acknowledges the importance of culture, art, arcitecture, as being worthy investments. Russian palaces are splendid in art, gold, statuary, grandeur, and the WH, to be honest, is an impressive home, if you live in a 2 or 3 bedroom ranch house, or a two story colonial. But Russians, British, French, even Mexico, have far greater structures of grandure, that dwarf the WH, or even Biltmore or San Simeon as great American palaces of wealth.

The building has 55,000 square feet , a movie theater; bowling alley ; putting green and basketball court. It is full of priceless historical artifacts , paintings and furniture ; to refer to it as an " impressive home ' would be like calling a presidential Rolex a nice watch. It includes an official guest house " Blair House " that boasts 119 rooms by itself. Jackie Kennedy thought Buckingham Palace in London was so outdated ; tacky and in disrepair she didn't even want to stay there. If you want to talk about the Hearst Castle compared to Russian homes , most people there live in a one room flat.

Most credible sources show that three of her parents' four children, the last of which died in May 2022, were born in New York County. None of the other Pierce children were famous, which debunks your promotion theory. Additionally, her official biographer, who conducted a series of interviews with Pierce Bush at the very end of her life, during those last few months, states that Bush was born at the now defunct Booth Memorial Hospital on June 8, 1925.

Wasn’t Jackie Kennedy the most popular of all of the First Ladies? I know of no one who disliked her, regardless of whether or not they liked her husband. Personally, Hilary Clinton was my least favorite. I don’t like her know it all attitude.

@@nancyhey1012 That list is a joke! Melania wouldn’t even make the top eight maybe even 10. I’m not speaking personally but more historically. She was not widely popular and other than her fashions at times she committed one of the most major fluffs when she recited essentially Michelle Obama’s speech at the convention.

@@nancyhey1012 Eleanor Roosevelt has consistently ranked as the most popular, most effective First Lady, and for good reason.
