We all have different reasons for watching the channels we watch. For me, this channel, stands out from others for a special reason. Everytime I watch one of your videos I ALWAYS smile. You two are adorable af. You both radiate love. Neither of you shade or attempts to steal the light from the other, you kind of just show brighter in each others company and it makes me appreciate what I have been gifted in my life a little more each time I watch. 🍻❤

Although we did have some big problems in the 60's, it was still such a good time. People were different back then - decent and caring, even if they disagreed. At least that's my memories of the times. I was there - mini skirts, go go boots and the dances - LOL fun nostasgic reaction. Thank you.

A true classic, guys, pure classic from "back in the day." By the way, Andre, Nancy does a fantastic job on Bang, Bang, too, but it's the haunting guitar which elevates that number. I am partial to the original Cher version written by her husband. Good pick, guys👍

1966 We were pretty wild 😜 in the 60's, of course I was only in the 6th grade. All the adults were Victorian in there values, but Woodstock was coming in 1969, the stonewall riots in New York City for gay rights, and the 70's sexual revolution! This song reminded me of that era let your hair down and let it all hang out. Peace ✌️ ☮️ and Love 😍 Gary

All the others are copies of this version. It was written by Nancy's producer Lee Hazlewood for himself to sing, but Nancy told him, "No, then it would sound too mean. You need a woman to sing it."

I remember hearing this song as a young girl. Nancy also had some other hits such as "Sugartown", "Bang Bang" & "Somethin' Stupid" a duet with her dad Frank Sinatra. Nancy recorded the title song from the James Bond movie "You Only Live Twice" in 1967. She also starred with Elvis Presley in "Speedway" in 1968. Nancy did a few collaborations with Lee Hazelwood including the songs "Summer Wine", "Jackson" & "Some Velvet Morning".

Having been a fan of Nancy's ever since discovering her (and this song's writer Lee Hazelwood's) duet album amongst my parent's collection when I was growing up, I saw her perform in London back in 2005. Her opening guest, who also sang a song with her was another artist you've recently discovered; Richard Hawley.....Anyway, she grabbed a cordless mic and was helped down from the stage into the aisles to sing 'Boots' amongst the audience. I was too far away initially to reach out to her as she sang and greeted her fans. However her two security guys, in looking for a way to get her back on stage noticed that the row in front of me had a number of empty seats making it easy for her to get to the side of the theatre to get back on stage. I was over the moon as she walked passed in front of me and shook my hand as I held it out...A memorable show.

The bass line can only be played on a fretless bass(or double bass) because it descends in microtones. It will not work on a normal fretted bass. Probably nobody interested except me😃

@@kingstumble Les Claypool is the frontman for Primus, a group that's been around for a long time. Surreal and massively talented trio. Les is a top-tier slap bass guitarist, but can do anything with a bass. If your interested, a "safe" introduction would be "Primus - Tommy The Cat Bonnaroo 2011" and "Primus - "Jilly's On Smack" - Bonnaroo 2011 (Official Video) | Bonnaroo365"...in that order. "Tommy the Cat" highlights Les' slap bass; "Jilly's on Smack" highlights his talent on an upright electric bass. Hope you'll have a look, you won't regret it.

I had forgotten how short those mini dresses were in the video. They're actually pullover sweaters. Definitely worn that way for TV entertainment value. Out in public in the 60's, they would have either been arrested, or dragged back into the house by a relative. No woman wanted everyone to see her skivvies.

It charted on January 22, 1966, and reached No. 1 in the United States Billboard Hot 100 and in the UK Singles Chart. This is the ORIGINAL version.... and Megadeth do a awesome thrash metal cover in 1985.
