Okay guys, the thing is when Suga / Agustd said he sell half a million a year, was like in 2015. But in 2020 they sold like $9.15 million albums and last year they sold like $7.21 million. And with $288.5 million of revenue for those albums. It’s pretty outdated. But it’s pretty cool that that he said that in the song, in the first place.

Not sure if anyone has explained it yet, but AUGUST'D is SUGA backward--> A U G U S, and the T & D stand for "Town of Daegu" in South Korea. It's also referenced as "I'm d boy because I'm from D," basically saying he's from Daegu. Also, with " A to the G to the STD," which is AUGUST'D, he's just spelling out his solo rapper persona name. Love your guys' reactions!

🤣 SUGA said all you rappers should be thankful that he's an idol (which is what they label that genre of music that the west calls kpop aka the glitzy type of pop music bc the fans "idolizes" those artist/singers in that type of popular music.) Cuz if he stayed purely in rap game, it's a wrap. Basically, him and RM were big in the underground hip hop scene and they got mad respect but then all the ppl in that scene turned on them when they decided to go train to be and "idol." Basically, they were all calling them sell out bc the underground scene is a lot more raw and "true to the art" but you rarely get paid or not at all. I think Suga said all he ever wanted to do was to make music, like be a producer. And while hitting the underground scene he got stiffed on a lot of the beats he made for other ppl. Her didn't come from a well off family so he opted to go the idol route as that had the most potential to make some kind of living. Funny enough, he said he was tricked into being a idol as he was trying to audition for a company to be a producer but he CEO saw something else in in. And fun fact, the CEO of HYBE (BTS label) was a producer from JYP -the company that has Twice, Itzy, Stray Kids ect, and he left to start his own company. So when they first started, it was a no nothing label so they all work extra hard compared to the other idols since they didn't have that extra finacial backing like the more established companies.
