He produced the song & obviously wrote this song. SUGA is a producer so he produces most of his solo stuff. He also came up with the storyline for the music video. It's basically a face off between the old him who is blonde who also represents the Agust D from his previous mixtape while the black hair is the new him, also the old him is a king & is set in historic setting with temples & swords, while the new him is set in modern setting with cars & guns. I think it's about clash of his ideologies of past & present. Blonde Agust D was much more harsh & angry & greedy for success and now after all the success etc, he is much more balanced. Also we don't know what happened to the bullet in the end, if it was hit or a miss. It's an open ending. Suga said we will find out in the new mixtape if it drops someday.

Suga writes and produces for BTS and many other artists outside of BTS. Agust-D does the lyrics, music, produces along with the productions of the videos. Big Hit does give him a team to assist, but finality is up to Agust-D. He is so busy, it took him years to complete Daechwita. Might want to watch his post-Daechwita interviews and also the behind the scenes of the filming of Daechwita.

Nevermind, The Last, and First Love are all top tier songs by SUGA/AGUST D that I recommend listening to first. None of them have music videos but I think the lyrics are most important for these songs anyways. If/when you check out First Love though, make sure you check out the live performance of it with captions and not only a lyric video because it’s one of those songs that’s meant to be listened to live IMO.

The theory is, This is Agust D and Suga. Its about his two personalities. In BTS Suga is a different person that when he's with them, he doesn't get to show his solo work. But, when he's AgustD he's the king, and he can show everyone his true side. With BTS, its not just him as its not just about him and such. But being AgustD he get's to be the king. So, that's what he means by shooting his other self in the end. He can do whatever he wants as AgustD.

Suga plays both versions of himself here, the black haired version (the one who came from the bottom) and the blonde haired version (the current one who is on top of his game). Where the blonde one is tyrannical and is beheading the public the black haired version leads his life on the ground. Theres the line the black haired version raps "I only looked up, now I want to look down and put my feet on the ground", its him putting it out there that he got to where he wanted to go and now he wants to keep his feet on the ground and stay humble, and so he shoots the king, making himself the new and improved king. Daechwita btw is traditional music played when Kings were moving about or when the ARMY was marching
