“Force competitors to finally join the tube game”… aka Aputure 😂😂 I’m loving my 15c’s so far but these seem pretty interesting to extend my lineup. Thanx for the review! Love your humor and the pro-mist (??) filter as well. 👍🏻

Yep😄 thanks for the kind words and yes, that is a PolarPro Basecamp with the Mist Filter on it.

Thanks for the review. However, sounds more like a sponsored one, TBH, where it is all hype, and there is no mention of any issues, including app control, ease, and operation. Programming sequences. What happens when you shut them off. Charging convenience. Are they completely neutral / matching visually, on the sensor, and by eye, to lights that are proven to be neutral. I find that my Litolite 5x, Pavotube 60c, even though they have plus-minus green, can never actually hit neutral, and the jump from zero to +1 or -1 is so huge that it overshoots. Is that the case with these, or can you subtlety adjust across the +/- range, including passing through zero. How is the shift when you dim down? Is the dimming percentage accurate mathematically (few are)? Battery life? Charging time?

Thanks for your feedback. I am not sponsored by Nanlite in any way as of now, so I don’t see your point, but everyone is free to have their own opinion. Most of your questions might be answered by the spec sheet of Nanlite (battery life etc.). I try to keep a balance of in-depth testing and a casual approach, so I don‘t deep dive too much into numbers but deliver the most valuable information for the majority of the audience. Regarding the „hype“: this product is quite „hype“, since it allows shooting scenarios that were reserved for higher budget productions just a few years ago. And that is great (hype) news for all content creators.

I have 6 of them and this is by far the worst tubes i got. Poor build quality (everything is moving inside like a kinder surprise wich is very frightening for the lifetime) , overheat as hell in less than 30 minutes, the app is not stable, the battery is really bad at full intensity comparing to other top products, there is some bugs on light effects ( probably fix soon with a new firmware… i hope) . For someone like me who is using Asteras for 3 years… i could definitly say that you pay what you have. Don’ t expect the same quality for half the price. I did this mistake… it s a major upgrade for someone who’ s coming from 30c (except for build quality, yes it s metal now, but it sounds like there is very low quality components inside) , but for someone who is curently using Asteras or Quasar products for exemple… juste run away… Sorry for my bad english. Hope to be understand :-D

Does the first gen (30c) need a seperate Wi-Fi control box to be controlled by the Nanlink app?
@jamesjoe59792 жыл бұрын
My Pavotube 30X arrived today, I was excited, it didn't even turn on when I switched to battery mode, AC power mode works fine. Beware, Nanlite is a Chinese brand and has serious quality control issues, they are not reliable. Sadly I had to send mine back.
