Thank You for your help. I was wondering on the first contact it clearly states that IF AND WHEN the family decides to get an addition of the family ( a third ) child that the rate per hour will not be changed. The rate per hour now is $30 for the two kids. I did not sign the contract as yet. Do you think I can negotiate with the family that when and If the third child comes that I can get a raise per hour?

If you are signing a contract that says there will be no raise with an additional child then you can not expect to negotiate if and when they have a 3rd child. If you want a raise if a child is born I would not sign the contract as it stands. I am in Canada so I can not speak to the rate in Manhattan.

Great video! I was thinking about applying for a job that requires the child to be dropped off and picked up every day from school, no babysitting. I was wondering if I should have a contract and what kinds of topics would it include, for example, if there's an accident while I'm driving?

Yes, you should definitely have a contract. It should cover all the same topics about pay, hours of work, sick days, etc. Then you could also add insurance coverage, will you be driving your car or theirs, mileage charges if you are driving your car and accidents. ✅

Yep accident clause. Also clause that parents must pay for cleaning if a child vomits, bleeds heavily etc in your vehicle

I think if you have a contract to be a nanny or sitter....It should only benefit the nanny or sitter!

Contracts are for mutual benefit. If it only benefits one party, it is not a balanced contract. Someone will not be happy.

@@TheNannySolution people won't be happy even if two parties are involved. If I ever hired a nanny....a contract would only benefit her.
