It would be great to get your Lonestar + Plexi captures on my Nano! Is that an option? I use it on my QC and it is just perfect. Cheers man, always superb content for QC ans NC!
@davlavmusic70702 ай бұрын
You would need to just do a capture on the Nano of the QC preset (with ask the effects turned off, of course). I did a video on that a while back.

With the pre/post options, a compressor and a screen to show visually what is going on I think Tonex is a No-brainer for me.

They do need to get the direct editing from the app to the device, imo. It's annoying to have to edit, save, and then copy to the device before you can hear it via the device.

They seem to be listening so hopefully that will come. The software is a bit clunky as well.

@@davlavmusic7070 Tonex will sell plenty more units because they have effets but direct editing will massively improve the retention rates.

I eased into the ToneX world after being a very happy HX Stomp user by going with the ToneX One. I use the ToneX 1 with thru my HX loop. Really like the amp captures. However the added effects in the update are just too inconvenient to setup and use on the ToneX 1. You have to create a new preset with the new effects and amp model. You can't apply the new effects on existing amp models in your library.

I like tonex captures best. I do wish it had fx loop, but i guess the fx are plenty. It'd be nice if you could add a stock style overdrive before captures also. I prefer the captures on the tonex though, and the company behind it.
@TNTales2 ай бұрын
For me I think if the Nano had an fx loop it would be killer. Then I could use it like a regular amp with my pedalboard. Also don't forget that the Nano can capture in the box with no additional hardware.

Understood. My comments on this video are only about the effects.

So you can’t plug the nano into a power amp and cab?
@TNTales10 күн бұрын
@@Butchzillaa I would think you could connect it to a Poweramp same as any preamp. But you'd want a capture that's DI, otherwise your capture has the speaker baked in. Think of it as a full signal chain model if you mic the speaker.
@davlavmusic707010 күн бұрын
@@Butchzillaa The Nano can be used with a power amp/cab without a problem. The IR can be disabled (assuming the cab isn't built into the capture itself).

My question...sorry it is a bit away from the subject. I always make the wrong decision....I wont be Capturing anything. I just want great sounding real sounding (recorded) amps . Warmth/feel of a tube amp...relatively speaking I will be using on board or bought packs.

Did you say they were close in price??
@davlavmusic70702 ай бұрын
The full Tonex is $400 and the Nano is $550. With the Nano you get the ability to create captures which I think is likely rationale for the extra $.

Keep in mind that the tone on the Nano was captured from the Tonex. I was trying to keep it as close as possible to focus on the effects. But I agree the Tonex does seem to have more to end.

Nano Cortex has an enormous issue : it doesn’t offer any compressor, needed for having great cleans sounds. Also ToneX is way more accurate compared to my nano capture and kemper captures/profiles

Great video! What you say right here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6XMfpiGp6l2oMk is the biggest reason I'm always going to favor the Nano Cortex over my Tonex. I have a Keeley Aria out in front of it and I'm as happy as can be with it. It's just plug and chug

@@davlavmusic7070 That would be awesome! Honestly though, there's still just something about the Nano - even though the effects are way more limited both in terms of varieties and signal chain order, I just feel it all "just works better" (and sounds better to my ear)...
