I bought a Nanrobot D4+ scooter on Amazon last month and it was a different brand. I love it cause it's very quickly, but after about a week, it has stop working about 20 miles because the controller burned out and they sent a new controller to replace it,then my scooter finally back to normal,but after nearly one month of using,I found that the battery life became shorter. The original factory told me that the dual motor's voltage is very large, so the battery life will be more short.The factory suggested me bought a new battery, but I can't accept it, so I chose to return it

What i didn't like is those 4 springs in front very hard and tough to clean. They've could added a rubber cover like those RS5 or Segway scooter to protect it from dust and dirt.

Awesome review! i noticed you didn't ride with gloves!! I've wiped out twice on my ecoreco L5+ which only goes 35 km/hr and it was not fun at all. Is your scooter the D4+ pro verson? (looks like a longer back mud guard) I didn't see it amazon. Any cons yet? Thanks.

what’s up Jeff! good to see you again! yes very good advice on the gloves and sorry to hear about your wipeout! hope you came out ok. ive has some bad wrecks without full gear and it isn’t fun. this is the D4+ pro i believe and the biggest cons imo are the suspension, the upsell for warranty and i would like to see more adjustment points for the handlebars

Thanks for this video review! I just bought the NanRobot 5D+ last week from Amazon and it only took 3 1/2 days to get to me (SoCal to NorCal). I am loving it! A true beast that even takes off faster than cars when the traffic light turns green. Oh, IDK how to fix speedometer either, and the powerful electronic brake totally scared the crap out of me the 1st time that I turned it down to level 1. Nonetheless, I am still loving my Nanrobot!

You have to adjust your tire size to 7 inches to get the speedo to match. I adjusted mine against my gps.

They are 10 inch tyres mate the side wall says 255x80 the 255 is 255mm which is 10 inches tall by 80mm wide which is 3.14in wide there a Tupda 255x80 . To set the individual scooter parameters you hold the mode button down and menu p0 to p5 is the setup for mph or kph , wheel size , battery ah etc but u have to know what u are doing to set it correctly , tbh it should be correct from the factory so speed value shouldn't be too far off . There not 100% accurate though by all means .

mm. interesting. believe it or not I think that’s the first time i’ve seen mm for a measurement on a scooter tire. appreciate you pointing that out. if they are indeed 10” tires then maybe the speedo is set for 12” tires or something because it reads about 60 mph when i was clipping along at about 30.

@@electrifiedreviews Yes its weird to see MM measurements on a scooter tyre ! it took me a while to figure it out too . It seems as though they dont setup the controller parameters at all if its that far out , which means the battery level indicator will be off a bit as well . Those controllers and throttle / lcd screens are used on a variety of different scooter available on the market today due to the fact there kind of an open source readily available solution which have great customisation ability , from battery Voltage / ah to wheel size , unit measurement customisation etc and can handle a ton of power put through them too ! It might be a good idea to hit up a e-scooter forum or do a google search and see if u can get some information on the setting parameters to suit it . Great review mate thanks !

thanks NP! the key is for operation. it must be inserted and turned on before you can ride. someone could still push it away if it is not turned on (i.e. locked) and you CAN kick it but honestly you wouldn't want to. the deck is too high for effective pumping and you'd get real tired real quick haha

Nunya Biz Maybe better late than never for others looking at these - the D5 comes with on road tires and a slightly larger battery (main differences that I'm aware of). I haven't seen the seat so can't help with an answer.

hmm good question. it ships with the off-road tires and I know they have the X5 which has street tires, so maybe if it's not an option from the website you could just ask the company? as far as the seat goes, it looks like it folds down and is kinda in the way, but i can't say for sure since we didn't test that

Unless you're doing some heavy-duty off-roading all the time. It'll be just fine. And most people drive these on the roads. Trampoline suspension is better for off-road not necessarily for on the road

hey Enes! it was on MPH but the wheel size didn't match the display settings so it was a bit off. easy fix if you know how to adjust it in the settings... we just couldn't find the right setting.

ya honestly it's rarely a good idea to ride these in the rain, but you could probably get away with wet streets though. just avoid big puddles of water to keep safe :)

I understand the mistake with the 8in tires and not 10. But you're the only person in the world who I've heard say that the speedometer is wrong. I believe you are wrong sir. Seen a lot of reviews where people use their phones to match up to speed and they match up just fine. I think the 10in was just an advertisement mistake. Can't wait till you get one. But they are 10 inch tires, just like people mistaking the lightning for 8in wide, they are not 8in wide they are eight inch tires that are 4 inch wide ;-)

nope! just the issues that were mentioned in the review: 1. the display is not calibrated properly and the displayed speed is way off. 2. the electronic braking might be WAY too strong for some. 3. the physical brakes were not the best, but they still provide quite a bit of stopping power even without the electronic braking

It's not legal in the UK because they can't tax it but as long as you are a sensible rider and stop at traffic lights when it's red then you'll be fine

It's NOT a 40mph. The MAX speed is *32 mph*. You'll maybe hit 35mph but for only a split second. 32 is what it'll be constantly when using max throttle, dual motor and mode 3. But because we had a slight time frame delivery issue. They sent me the seat for compensation.. happy days

Nanrobot Buyers Beware! I bought two nanrobots and they've been a pita to deal with. One didn't work out of the box. They sent a replacement and it lasted 20 miles before it stopped working. They said, ship to us on your dime and we can fix it for 300-350! ha. Funny stuff. Lesson learned! Research before buying! On to another brand for us.

How do you change between using mechanical and motor breaks?

you can't unfortunately. as soon as you depress the brake levers the electronic brakes activate, and then if you continue pulling them you will start to engage the physical brake calipers

I already crashed with the nanrobot 4d a few times when trying to break very fast. I keep on flying over the front wheel. I turned electronic brakes off and the front brake is still way to strong. Can anyone advise me how to break fast without tripping over?

hey Peter! bummer man! hope you're ok. the best way to brake for all scooters, and especially this one since the electronic braking is so powerful, is to shift your weight backwards before depressing the brake levers. this will help to counterbalance the weight transfer from braking. hope that helps!

@@toiletpapermatters698 well I personally would never grab full breaks at 40mph on any scooter no mater how amazing the breaks are lol,that said... When I am traveling fast and need to stop quickly,I always use front and rear breaks together and lean back a bit over the back wheek,as most of the time my foots on the back anyways ect.. but I grab,let off,grab,let off quickly and I go from there based on how quickly I slow down...
