I am a regular visitor for many years. The prawn mee is my favourite but his other dishes like loh mee is equally delicious. If you have the appetite, you should add pork rib to your prawn mee. It is beyond words especially when you consume with his condiment of ground garlic mixed with sampal. The quality has been consistent throughout the years and I would give it a 5 stars.

要用花虾噢。如果买不到现成的辣椒糊,辣椒干泡软,打成糊也是可以的。

I recalled many years ago when I visited Penang and had the Prawn mee. It was so delicious and always wonder how they cook it. One cannot get Prawn mee in England and I am going to make an attempt to cook it. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Kena guna udang yang uncle tunjunk kat video ya, soup udang baru 'kaw' & 'manis' walaupun masak dengan air je. Kalau pakai udang lain jenis, soup udang tak jadi macam yang uncle masak punya. Selamat mencuba😊

Is it normal for there not to be pork to cook the broth for malaysia style prawn mee?

Yeah as this is Penang style prawn mee, but need to blanch the prawn head first.

Yes indeed the best... I have been eating his prawn mee since young and travel all the way from Singapore to have it... He used to own a small stall at paramount coffee shop at the corner from his current store.... Yummy.. Can't wait to come back to PJ, Msia
