It's just because they don't want to hear it. And they would rather her be shy and quiet. Her voicing her opinion or belief is confrontational to them. If they don't want to hear it they can simply stop watching her. But they choose to shame/belittle her or try to make her be quiet. The simple fact that an opposite being exists is enough to make them upset. At the same time they're usually the people who are the most vocal about what they believe and how they feel about things. And if someone was to tell them they're annoying they would get mad and fight back. In short they want to be able to control her and to keep her silent. The fact that she won't when they try to intimidate her is "annoying." It's a very narcissistic tendency that seeks to conform others to one's self-interest. It's the same way bullies in school work. When you are conforming to what they want they don't really mess with you but as soon as you deviate or oppose them, they amp it up and try to make you feel like you're wrong.

The reporter was not a bully. ☝️😎 That was a honest question. And I believe he hit the nail on the head. Maybe that’s why she felt she was put in the corner? And couldn’t handle it? So she plays victim to draw sympathy. It seems Naomi admired Maria Sharapova’s career, in that, albeit, Maria wasn’t necessarily the greatest grand slam winner……………but was the highest paid female tennis player in her prime……if not overall highest paid woman athlete, period? And Maria defeating the legend Serena (in a finals) helped to catapult Maria’s endorsement clout through the roof. Naomi did the same to Serena, so now Naomi is attempting to emulate Maria’s success. Naomi is definitely looking to use her media platform to garner endorsement income apart from tennis 🎾winnings. I know that young woman loves money a lot. I can see it in her face. Her little feigning and purporting of love interest in Michael B Jordan got her talked about and raised her stock through the roof. And she regaled and reveled over it. Yes, Naomi Osaka knows full well the media is a great way to get noticed with ensuing awesome paying endorsements. She knows she won’t win continually like Serena Williams had done throughout her illustrious legendary career. So Naomi is definitely anticipating this and building on another foundation (media) to keep herself relevant. She’s very insecure that another grand slam lost is gonna plummet her stock a great deal. So it’s better to ride off the victories of the past and milk those for all their worth……….to build on it now (while it doesn’t drift too far away in the past) to cash in on it now………….so the barrage of a fresh grand slam lost won’t diminish her stock as much. She’s clever. She knows what she’s doing to build a buzz for her name while it’s still up there. But only one problem: Maria was like a model and tall like one too. Naomi is attractive, but not like Maria was. Naomi also is not so charismatic and doesn’t have a winning personality. To compensate, Naomi puts on this demure coy front when she interviews. I don’t feel it’s genuine at all. But she’s very calculating and intelligent. Naomi withdrew from the French Open, it was a very calculated move. Stephen A Smith can see through Naomi and privately despises Naomi because he knows she is trying to build a following through the American 🇺🇸 black community. But Stephen secretly feels Naomi’s heart isn’t really there, but in Japan.

She does seem to be sensitive to questions bordering on excessive criticism of her play or loss. No athlete should be criticized in that manner, especially after a loss, and from sports writers, most who have no idea of an athlete’s perspective. Most of the contravery around Genie was fabricated and amplified by tabloid journalism which is plaguing us all in sports or politics. EB is just the girl next door compared to some of these new stars coming up. Osaka has a rapper boyfriend, is a supporter of BLM, and is working on building her gangsta persona. That really sells these days. Genie just goes to the beach once in a while and sometimes a football game - pretty tame by comparison.

@@tenniswilliam Sharapova admitted her mistake and I don't agree EB's comments that she was CHEATER ..
@tenniswilliam3 жыл бұрын
@@zaezae2405 you can disagree with EBs perspective but many other players shared the same point if view but never had the same media profile. If I was EB for sure I would be really annoyed. If you are totally clean and put in all that hard work just to run in to another player who already has millions but has to take PEDs it is really upsetting. Take a hard look at the match in 2014 in the French Open semis. Maria was losing to EB but then got a so called second wind near the last half of the match. That drug is designed for exactly that - no proof but Maria was famous for pulling off matches where she was behind. The drug was banned for a reason just like steroids years before. What is more problematic is that while Maria was caught likely many other players from former eastern block countries were on the same PEDs. I totally lost interest in professional tennis after the Sharapova incident.

No, Bouchard has always been an entitled, arrogant bitch. It has been great to see that little princess fail. Her absolute annihilation at the hands of Kvitiva in the Wimbledon final (54 minutes?) was just beautiful to watch. Brought the little brat down to earth again.
