Incredible comeback from Naomi, from looking down and out, to winning the match with confidence and poise. Over the years, Osaka has truly become a much better player mentally and time and time again, just when you think she will lose, she finds a way to win. A fantastic win and certainly will win more slams in the future.

Love Naomi since US Open 2018. She played so well in the US Open 2018 final. She was so energetic and moved fast. But since then, I don’t see her run that fast any more. She is only 22 years old. Her serve is excellent which won her a lot of points. But if she could run like she did in 2018 again, that’s wouldn’t be fantastic. I like Simona Halep, she is much older, she is 28,29? She can still run from corner to corner, keep the rally alive on and on. I like watching her playing. I Hope Naomi would move like Halep again then she would win many more grand slams much easier, I think.
@roobookaroo3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Halep is the fastest runner around, she has the legs of an Olympic sprinter.
@mitchand93 жыл бұрын
Naomi isn't a small person either so maintaining that speed would require a lot and be difficult to do so without causing injury. She's already suffering injuries and she's nowhere near older than some of her competition. Probably why a lot of her recent matches she tries to keep rallies as short as possible.
@owenbenjaminshapiro62853 жыл бұрын
Compare videos of her between AO 2019 and 2021. She went from being quite thin and athletic to hella thicc. She must've put on at least 6-7 kilos of muscle. Her serve is massive but surely her movement is hampered a bit
@roobookaroo3 жыл бұрын
@@owenbenjaminshapiro6285 Perhaps 6-7 kgs of weight, but it can't be all lean muscle mass. Let's guess 3 kg of effective muscle, if that much. Anyone who has ever tried to add on 3 kg of pure muscle mass (in arms, shoulders, buttocks, thighs and calves) knows how immensely difficult it is. Professional weight lifters need artificial chemical supplements to facilitate the absorption of all the additional industrial protein they consume over what they get from natural food. For a female, eating and converting that much protein into muscle mass in such a short time is an elusive challenge, half of the weight gain must be at least normal surface fat. This is very visible too in the current case of Bianca Andreescu, as it was obvious as well with Monica Seles after her return to competition in 1995.
