I agree. That would be treasonous. If one is born in another country, then that's a different situation. But I agree, to have citizenship in both countries is highly problematic.

There should be limits. You can hold both, or numerous citizenships, but you need to have lived in the country for 20 yrs, with no break longer than consecutive 6 months. There are ways to limit power if ppl were truly using dual citizenship. Tbh I think ppl aren't really using that. All they have to do is brainwash the new generation born in the US, and those citizens do their bidding. It's that simple

I think wars are mostly a way for the powerful to gain or maintain power. Historically, the nation state was created through standardization - judicial, language wise, identity etc - and through conscription. The nation, the idea that we share some common identity, is relatively new. One of the most effective ways of making people identify with each other is to make them have a shared "enemy", or, in other words, a shared idea of "the Other". A big part of socialism's historical relevance is the description of a international society, where people identify in classes instead of nations, IE I as a Swedish worker have more in common with a Russian worker, than I have with the Swedish (capitalist) elite. The thesis is that wars are fought to retain power, and subjugate any threat to the established power. This, I believe, is true with most power structures and thus institutions - a big part of its ressources are dedicated the goal of survival. This is also one way of explaning the "defence" budget of the USA. Why does a country of 300 million need a bigger military than the next 8 militaries combined, 8 of which are "allies"? view the powerful elite as capitalists is beside the point. They are powerful and their source is money - they are not somehow rooted in some ideology of capitalism, as much as they are rooted in a cunning and ruthless ideology of power. I'm interested to hear your thoughts, cheers

facetubemyassplug i'll reply im just a bit busy :) but in short, i think you are not seeing the world as a multi-polar place, with many types of powers at work, some trying to retain and some trying to gain more power. (some are legitimate, and most believe themselves to be legitimate) workers vs owners liberation ideology is 100% discredited nowadays, i'll explain why but it'll probably take a long time!

AIPAC should be registered as a Foreign Agent. Every foreign country represented in Washington by foreign agents must register under the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Under its terms, the country in question is absolutely banned from participating in or influencing American elections. Every contact the agents have with Congress must be reported to the Department of Justice, along with how and where they spend their resources. Cheers, from Canada

John Mearsheimer addressed this topic in his book The Israel Lobby and U.S. Foreign Policy. The 'American Israel Public Affairs Committee' as the name suggests and an entirely American organization that does not receive any foreign funding. It is funded by private donors in the US, who on occasion may have links with the leadership in Israel. The problem is that of the opacity and corruption in political funding, which has been made legal by the supreme court. This country is awash in special interest groups buying politicians off with campaign finance inducements, upon which politicians are increasingly reliant as they need to advertise themselves through mass media for any coverage or support. The problem is a difficult one to solve as there is no desire for corporate finance reform in the ruling class. America needs either a mini or a full blown revolution, which again might not be on the cards. Be strapped for a period of tough decline.

I learned something years back when I started doing a lot of my own investigative journalism. You shouldn't and can't expect anyone to be as passionate as you are about such topics. @@shimac1 People tend to look up when they are trying to think of a way to express something they think is true. People tend to look downwards and or to the side when they are trying to think of a way to deflect or build a lie. Not true 100% of the time, but I guarantee if you pay attention to yourself and others when you know if they’re being honest you will find that it’s true in most circumstances. Looking up involuntarily while responding to a question is an expression of honesty and openness.

Bingo, though I am curious why it is she voted for Obama when he hadn't much of a voting record from which to be vetted. At the same time Ron Paul was running for the presidency and had decades of voting records which stood for so much what she professes to be about.
