the psychology behind the first test being mixed up is actually really interesting bc it definitely proves a bias against the fakes (which makes sense)! the way you were actually really excited and positive towards the fake bra when you thought it was the real one and were trying to find reasons why the second bra was worse is super interesting. (not saying the knock-offs aren't worse 100% of the time but it's neat to see human brain stuff happening)

If you want to change the colour of any of the clothing, try Rit it's the best brand, they have a colour remover that's super easy and they have dyes to chnage the colour if whatever, it's only about Australian $12- $16 for whatever colour you like, it's saved me many times. They do have synthetic dyes too, seeing they're harder to dye than natural fibres.

If a corset is mostly flat off body, it's a bad corset. A good corset needs to be sewn to fit all the curves of the body prior and then needs to mould to the curves of your body by breaking it in

Naomi, get yourself an actual custom-made corset and it'll change everything. One address in Berlin is TomTo, I'll bet there's others. It's a difference of night and day, a proper corset that fits your measurements vs a corset-inspired fashion top.

Also I'm very concerned about the cut of the original corset top, it looks very much not safe for any ribcage, especially with the lack of lacing to regulate the fit of it quickly, not being able to season it to your body and it squishing everything so much without even creating a nice silhouette it's very unsafe. It's just like the fake, badly cut corsets from cheap scam sites, shaped like literal tubes that won't make any waist happen, so unaware people would try to lace them tighter just to injure themselves, or even break ribs. I wear very nice corsets by a brand called Rebel Madness from Poland so just next door to Germany, these don't cost as much as that top did, and are beautifully crafted to order.

THIS THIS THIS! 300$ can get you a nice, simple but very well-made bespoke piece if you are willing to do some looking around. Or you could get a couple of nicer, affordable premade steels. I love the bespoke pieces that I spent a crazy amount on, but I also adore my Orchard Corset and Mystic City pieces as well esp for their price. Custom corsets are literally the most comfortable thing out there lmao.

as someone who wears and makes corsets - i want to reinterate corsets should never take your breath away! they should be tailored and fitted to your body for the best experience and never feel pinching or crushing. the one in the video is not patterned nor tailored in anyway appropriate for its label as a 'corset'. the panels are simple rectangles, making no more than a tight tube shape. Corset panels should always have an 'hourglass' shape to them for room for the bust and hips. The price is horrendous and as a tailor/seamstress i highly do not recommend (based on video)

As someone who tight laces with a corset nearly every day for the past 5+ years: for $300+ literally just go find a reputable steel-boned corset maker and get it custom-sized. I really love the Orchard Corset and Mystic City corsets and they're affordable too. They're comfortable, break in well when you take time to season, and last a long time when you maintain them. I'm not going to shit on that corset or its creator because at the end of the day it truly just comes down to personal preference, but as I already stated, I would rather spend $300+ on a bespoke corset.

It's not that hard to find a color that would match the dress and actually sew along the edge of the zipper- where the zipper teeth are- which is how you're supposed to put them in.
