Inoue's the best fighter out of Asia since Pacquiao imo. Unreal skill set, incredible ring IQ, and of course, power that belongs WELL above his normal weight. It's terrifying to think we haven't even seen him in his final form yet. As for Donaire, nothing but respect to a great of the sport for stepping in there... AGAIN... against a guy that fighters his age wouldn't go anywhere NEAR. I have to imagine he'll be retiring soon. Dude is almost 40 and this was probably his last shot at a world title.

I agree completely with your sediment & analysis though I feel he's not given enough credit for his genetic gifts combined with sublime skill & sharp fundamentals he's special. My second favorite fighter currently is Errol Spence though if I'm honest no one is on Inoues level regarding talent explosive power speed timing & many more intangibles. I hope he fights more frequently I'm the states because a lot of people are sleeping on him but he's undeniable to the educated fan. The fact that he was impaired from round two of their first encounter yet won convincingly without a thought of resignation after having his face shattered is already impressive. Now healthy and prime he emphatically knocked the same fighter (legend) out in two rounds. He's phenomenal. The main concern is who's going to fight him in his weight class. They won't be able to handle his ability & unfortunately for the most difficult opponent they have to withstand his Julian Jackson like power. Of all my favorite fighters I'm most privileged to witness him box so perfectly in my opinion he's better than Manny & I love Manny but if I'm being honest this guy is something different. My only question was reaction to adversity & he undoubtedly proved he has heart too. He'll be extremely hard to beat for anyone around his weight class.

The slow-mo for the first knockdown you could see Inoue feint his second jab, and Donaire bites on it by responding with a pull counter. I'm going to talk to you about this big new thing (I feel like Modern Martial Artist started this) but this thing where you describe what happened in great details and assign 'decisions' to it. You need to stop with this. They are NOT making these deliberate decisions with each and every single movement "Then he falls for it, then seeing how he took the bait, he decides to step back from the line and choose a left angle.. seeing him drop he choose the ... " You need to stop that and everyone involved needs to stop doing this.

What makes Inoue such a great fighter is his attention to detail. The man's incredible skill in every aspect of the sport is honed down to the minutest detail...the shot that put Donaire down in the 1st round being a great example of that. The set-up was beautiful, with that quick feint like he was gonna throw a left hook, and then coming over the top with a lightening fast and crushing overhand right (same shot he took out Jason Moloney with). When you watch that shot in slow motion, you can see how Inoue guides the punch downward towards the jaw (instead of the at the temple, which would have been an easier shot but less effective) and then torquing the punch at impact. That's the kind of attention to detail that makes Inoue the best fighter in the game today, IMHO. And all of it executed with such speed! What a phenomenal fighter!...like his fellow countryman, Shohei Otani, now dominating baseball in the US at a level beyond anything anybody has ever seen. While I'm at it, I'll also throw in the name of the concert pianist Hiromi Uehara as another phenomenon to come out of Japan in the last 20 years. They've got some extraordinarily talented people in that distant land!

Been watching Inoue for awhile now. He's only going to get better too. His fights are becoming more and more strategic every time he faces a challenging opponent. He'll break them down slowly. He was very confident in 2019 fight, regrets overlooking Donaire a little bit in rd.2 as he didn't feel threat from Donaire in rd.1. Before the rematch he mentioned he hasn't been happy coz he feels he gave Donaire a big confidence and people say Inoue had a hard time with Donaire. He wants to totally destroy Donaire's confidence and shut people's mouth by dominating the fight and win by fast KO. That's just exactly what happened in rematch lol.

It's Inoue's attention to detail that really makes him the best fighter on the planet right now. Kudos to him and his brain trust for making sure Inoue wasn't gonna give Donaire the chance to surprise him again like he did in the first fight. But getting caught like he did by Donaire in the first fight though really proved to him and to the boxing world that he could take it as well dish it out. Actually, I had expected what happened in this fight to occur in their first fight...which might have been the case had Inoue not got hurt bad so early in the fight.

I have been following Naoya even before his fight with Donaire, and he became my favourite fighter shortly after. After the first fight with Donaire, I thought Naoya was going to be undefeated and deserved to be top 3 in the P4P. Now, I think he will go down as one of the best boxers ever P4P. People do not understand what boxing is about, and if you are not barking to the American boxing media all the time about how you are the best - talking, talking, talking - then you get unrecognised. Naoya knows that you should SHOW, not TALK and that's what he does. It takes so much time for people to be sold on Naoya. They don't give credit, they don't pay attention to him... That's why I am so happy with this performance.

You're right, I didn't notice such an important factor. Choosing the safest Boxing gloves was also the main reason why Floyd Mayweather retired undefeated. (And, of course, without dementia.) I remember Mayweather once had arguments with Maidana's team for the reason that he wanted to use the safest gloves in their fights. And he ended up beating Maidana twice because he kept scoring more points each round while the gloves they were using prevented Maidana from knocking Floyd out... For Inoue, I can't believe he chose to use the most dangerous type of boxing gloves against an opponent who's almost 40 years old! Not to mention that Donair has two kids to raise. perhaps... this is his usual.. he got damage only from the last Donaire fight. His face is always clean with no damage after fights and after every fight people think he can fight tomorrow lol. Though he said he felt pretty good after Donaire broke his orbital and nasal bones coz he felt he became a real boxer lol

Yes Crow only been following Naoya for over 2 years and he never ceases to amaze me with his ring IQ. Like Loma, Pac man, Bud Crawford; sadly Donaire is finished.. Yes, naoya is certainly the real deal. A very, very fast brain!!

That’s why Donaire is in the Hall of Fame. Tremendous heart and even when he went down he got straight back up. The man is a true warrior. Inoue has power that divisions like this rarely see. Unbelievable how much power he generates in both hands. Hopefully, he can become undisputed in this division! P4P 👑

Honestly i don't see anybody who can take over Inoue in his division knowing that he has not yet reach his prime at all. i watched his preps sparring some guys and i was surprise it was not really sparring but real fights. He has so improved ,his footwork, his speed, accuracy and of course his power. He is fuc.ing smart too! After all the fights i saw from him i saw his opponents very confident but after the first clean punch you can see in their eyes not the fear but the way how they re gonna survive knowing that evey punch he is trowing hurts very bad. That must be a strange feeling knowing that first mistake equal you go down without any warning. But don't get me wrong the guys he fought were tough and champions too and i wont discredit them at all. Inoue is just another level. His speed power and accuracy gave him a multiple way to k.o anybody has you can't see where it comes ,Liver shots,Temple shots, chin shots...anytime in any way you can go down left hands right hands...that must be very frustrating for a fighter. Anyway congrats to Nonito which is a great champion,You have all my respect and my gratitude,You did a lot for boxing and it's no shame at all! Congrats too for the referee who was more than professionnal !He gave Donaire the chance to come back but he knew when to stop the fight to save his integrity and health! Congratulation to Inoue,Keep going it's never boring with you! THANK YOU GENTLEMEN ! REFEREE INCLUDED!

Inoue's body is finally filling out at 118. I noticed it during the Dasmarinas fight, Inoue came in bigger than he has ever been at 118. His body looked big for Donaire 2 fight too. He's usually always the smaller looking man, but now he's finally mastering the weight. Maybe he finally perfected his weight cut and diet.
