Thank you for the review. The day before I saw this I bought the 1/2" 14pc set (61-0308), also branded as Carlyle, from eBay with a 20% discount for £35 ($46). They only arrived today but even though I have no air/electric tools (yet) I try to buy the CrMo sets (which these are) as opposed to CrV. I do not know if it makes THAT much of a difference in daily use, but I prefer to have the stronger of the two just in case.

Yeah no dished square end and no cut groove saves money, but it simultaneously increases strength. I'm down with that. Those are ubiquitous, and the no dish is an indicator of that family, sunex, napa professional, capri tools, klutch, etc.

I have a bunch of NAPA Pro and Carlyle hand tools. Their stuff really is top notch.

I'm pretty sure dose sockets are sunex rebrand socket. And sunex are around 40 dollar's.

Those are just Sunex 3359 sockets, $28 on amazon and the sunex sockets come with a better case. I don't understand why some companies put that O-ring grove on a 3/8 drive socket because I have never seen a 3/8 square drive with a thru hole.

Tractor supply has a 1/2" 16pc 10-25mm and 13pc SAE for $29.99 each. Same exact sockets as Lowes Kobalt but half the price.

In the Comparison amongst the 3 as you were just showing how flush flat it is at it's back how or what do you think about the fitment when locking it in on a Anvil either a impact or Ratchet

They look a lot like sunex sockets

What's the advantage of the chamfered back?
@CatusMaximus5 жыл бұрын
Just makes it a little easier to get the socket centered and attached to the tool

I don't know, I like the no skip set, but quality looks on Parr with Harbor Freight, and the crappy storage, I guess I would put them on socket rails anyway. I'm with you, they should have made the smaller sockets thin wall all the way for small spaces, you're not going to have high torque on the small size fasteners. Thanks for sharing, would like to see your use of the products and tools that you display.

You should take a look at the Genius impact sockets, Part# TF-332M on Amazon.

Carlyle is as good, if not better than Tool Truck quality and NAPA actually has better warranty service
