I find Barney to be facinating. When you see him and hear him talk he seems like the least metal person ever. But when he's performing... OMG What energy! He looks like if he ever stops shouting he's going to explode. It's amazing to still have that energy after all these years.

When I was growing up and started listening to Napalm Death in the late 80's/early 90's, Napalm Death was seriously one of the hardest bands in the world. Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Goreguts, Bolt Thrower, and Napalm Death were the hardest bands around. They were really one of the pioneers of modern death/black metal, and they deserve credit where it is due.

Barney has such a lovely hobbit appearance but is also the most angriest man I've ever seen! LOVE to Napalm Death and everything they stand for!

Caught them here at a small club here in Ottawa, Ontario. One of the most intense shows I've ever seen...they were relentless. Got to chat with Barney after the show and he gave me his setlist.

One time when I went to a Cannibal Corpse, Napalm Death, and Immolation show in Oakland, and literally got thrown onto the stage and Barney lent me a hand and picked me back up and gave me a pat on the back before I jumped back off the stage. I wish the Metro Operahouse never moved. It is one of few places with no barrier. They don't stop people from getting on stage and diving at the old place, but they did push whoever was on stage off onto the crowd if they stayed too long. Later they put up no stage diving signs but it was only for liability purposes
