This type of music definitely has had a lot to do with who I am, with my personality. I can suggest Insomnium, they have a lot of introspective songs that I am sure can make your time easier.

I've been a fan of Tuomas' music for 19 years since Before The Dawn's album My Darkness, but I felt like Wolfheart became quite rigid with their recent albums and Tuomas got stuck within his own formula of songwriting. It's always amazing when you "re-discover a band for the first time" ... I have known of Wolfheart for the past 2-3 years but only heard a few songs in passing. The song writing is phenomenal. There’s nothing new to metal in terms of style, but the transition between parts of Wolfheart songs always find ways to catch me off guard and it’s amazing. In this particular song, I could tell the chorus was coming but I was not expecting it to instantly accelerate into that melodic punch.

Very well put. A lot people think "boring riffs" but it's the transitions! It's the they way the piece it all together and drop it onto you. It's like cooking a steak; you don't need to put heaps of herbs and seasoning on it to make it great; sometimes its simple like the right amount of salt and 1 herb like thyme does the trick. Weird analogy but yeah I'm a bit drunk so there it is lol

After this and Ancestor I would LOVE to see Wolfheart do something with Tom S. Englund of labelmates Evergrey/Silent Skies/Redemption. Toumas' brutal guitars and guttural vocals would pair beautifully with Tom's soulful vocals and Tom could definitely craft a wicked solo for any guest spot. His vocals were awesome on the Nightrage albums he guest on. I think it would be killer. What to do you say Toumas? Thoughts?
