Mark Tremonti is the Grammy Award-winning guitarist and songwriter known for his work in the critically acclaimed Alter Bridge and in the multi-platinum rock juggernaut Creed. His sound is recognizable and has garnered him a loyal fan base worldwide.
In 2012, Mark formed Tremonti with Eric Friedman and Garrett Whitlock as an outlet for his love of harder riffs and the band has released three full-length albums to date. On June 8th, Tremonti returns with their fourth album A Dying Machine, a concept album that showcases Mark’s unique songwriting style and vocal melodies. Anthemic choruses, punishing riffs and fiery guitar solos are showcased on the album in rockers like "From the Sky" and "Throw them to the Lions" and places them alongside the infectiously catchy "Take You With Me" and "The First The Last".
Tremonti will be on a worldwide tour in support of A Dying Machine including opening for Iron Maiden this summer.

Eh... he's not a bad musician but his songwriting is incredibly predictable and forgettable. Entirely too formulaic and indistinguishable from a lot of other "bro metal" out there. If you want to hear a real genius, start listening to bands like Devin Townsend, Periphery, Tesseract, Valis Ablaze, Gojira, Anciients, Northlane, etc. All of them so much more interesting and engaging to listen to. The stuff like the song in this video were written for the masses to be played on the radio. It can't stray from the script. But like I said, Mark is not a bad musician. I just wished he would step outside the box (if his producer/label will let him)

While there were some good songs in Creed, MT has evolved so much as a writer, player, singer - I agree, Creed is ancient history at this point. His solo and AB work is just terrific - and not just "some" good songs, a TON of GREAT songs. The overwhelming majority of his solo and AB writing is simply fantastic!
