I bought one of the Original Napier's back when it was Cabela's only. The owner was from Niagara/Buffalo and shipped one direct within Canada instead of dealing with customs at the time . The tent is still in use by my son ! Awesome product

Have had one of these for 2 years in the back of my 2016 F250. Easy to set up in the truck by myself in 15 mins. First truck tent I've owned and so far it's Great!

I have a 2022 Ford F-350 with an 8' bed and the tent is huge (nearly 10' with the tailgate), I've been considering this add on Sportz Link tent for more room to stand up and change or put a cot in.
@ricksundberg56599 ай бұрын
Update- I bought the Sportz Link from Amazon after watching this because we were heading out to go camping in a place I can't bring our toy hauler. I used the Sportz Link and I have to say it was money well spent. The fit was perfect and it is tall enough to stand up and change clothes in (I'm 6'3" 265). I put the kids and wife up in the truck on a full size futon mattress (way warmer than an air mattress) and I slept like a king on my Teton xxl cot in the SportzLink part. I was worried about rain but the rain fly did a good job of keeping the moisture out. For $220 it really was a great add.

@@ricksundberg5659 this is awesome to hear, definitely, for the money it seems like a no brainer. Thanks for the update!

I set mine up alone. I did it in my truck, standing on a milk crate. I like it. It's easy to use. Next time, I'll do it on the ground. It will make it easier for me.

Had one for my 2009 Silverado. Used it up deer hunting, in MN, in November. It was pretty comfy!

I have the Backroadz version (grey and green) that I have so far used camping twice in my 2024 F150. Both times it rained like crazy and I stayed dry both times. So I just this week purchased the link to extend it to the ground. Can't wait to try it out with the main tent. I can set it up by myself in about 10 mins no problem. Add the link tent and probably add another 10 mins ... I will find out in two weeks

i like you have a Napier tent for my SUV ( love it ) But have now purchased a pick up. Wondering if you can attach the SUV tent to the truck tent similar to the Sportz link. Thoughts???
@WhyBuyАй бұрын
Great question, the sportz link might have a bit different seal to attach, not 100% if there is enough material to use the SUV version with the Truck tent. We didn't try it unfortunately so I don't want to say based on speculation. Honestly, Napier is a great group, I'm sure if you sent a quick email they'd confirm. Maybe it only requires that fabric connector piece to make it work? If you find out, we'd be grateful for an update here! Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for watching! 👍

When the extension tent is detached from truck, can the tent be closed up on that end?
@WhyBuy7 ай бұрын
Yes the extension can be fully detatched and used as a stand alone tent if needed. The attachment side closes up similar to a tent window. Hope this helps!

Would imagine the tent works great with tundra since they have that rearview glass that opens up completely

I want to purchase this, but the problem with me is, i have a toolbox in the back of my truck and i use it. The sucker is packed..i wonder if i could still use this product with my toolbox still in the back of my truck without hindering it..

Is it 100% wproof in heavy rain..?
@WhyBuy7 ай бұрын
I have used in moderate rain and it has held up pretty well, on one occasion with heavy rain we had some water on the floor of the tent in the morning, but nothing major. The material seems so be a good balance between breathability and water resistance, we have always been pretty comfortable no matter the weather condition. Hope this helps.

So does the tent that is on the ground attaches to the bed tent with zippers or what ?
@WhyBuy Жыл бұрын
The attachment on the sportz link is elastic. It forms a pretty good seal around the truck tent's entrance off the tailgate. There are detailed instructions from Napier here. www.napieroutdoors.com/us/instructions/

yeah, was wonderin' why so many steps were by-passed... ie; attaching straps along the vehicle bed, tying down of rain fly (if any), the tent assembly, IN FULL , if one person can find a way to in fact achieve this or 100% cannot? is KEY to me...not keen on this review quite frankly, almost like many details were left out purposefully and more to do with "hype" and "sell" - ...otherwise the concept looks okay even without ALL intricate details left out (nothing like this set-up is as easy as they made it out to be) imho - i'm not sold, no offence to presenter.

@@stevemilner1345 last week I set mine up for the first time in the dark by myself in about 15 minutes and never even looked at the instructions till the next morning. It is literally 2 poles and 6-8 stakes. I put the poles in, got the tent standing, then put the bungee/elastic part around the truck tent/tailgate, then went inside the link tent just to make sure I was fully around everything. Once I was attached around the truck tent/tailgate and the poles were in, I staked it down, hooked it to the fender wells and truck tent and put on the rain fly. I slept in it on my cot in the rain for the first night and was dry as a bone. I didn't video setting it up, but it was easy.

Yes. if you do take out all the heavy stuff too obviously. Also you risk damaging the poles, I have two vestibule poles broken from removing and reinstalling it
